August Beauty Favourites + Empties

It seems as if I am getting really bad at being on time with my monthly posts recently! Before my time is up, here are my August Beauty Favourites. I also have a few empties to share with you.

August Beauty Favourites

As you may have noticed, I have been making an effort to use more of my makeup, instead of just my usual favourites. And, thanks to that, I have been finding a few forgotten gems!

August Beauty Favourites

Swatches from Top-Bottom:

The *L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Paint in Hollywood Beige is one of the new L’Oreal Launches I mentioned a while back. It is so light and comfortable to wear, and this shade in Hollywood Beige is gorgeous!

Next I have the Catrice Intensif´eye Wet & Dry Shadow in Please Gold The Line. This shadow is such a lovely shade, and looks amazing on the inner corners of my eyes. It really brightens and lifts the eye area.

I have been pairing the shadow above with the *Mii Cosmetics Forever Eye Crayon in Rose Gold. I apply this to my entire lid, and then use the Catrice shadow in the inner corners. The crayon lasts forever, doesn’t smudge or crease and is so so pigmented.

A long lost favourite is the NYX Cream Blush in Rose Petal. This blush is just so pretty. It is a cream blush, which means it doesn’t last as long as a powder blush, but the colour is a perfect flush and it is so easy to apply!

Lastly, the LA Girl Pro BB Cream in Neutral. When I first bought this I wasn’t too much of a fan, I didn’t think the coverage was great, and it didn’t really do much for me. Recently, thanks mostly to Microneedling, my skin has been looking amazing, and I find this is light but gives that little bit of coverage to just even things out. My face still looks like my skin, but just better.

A recent favourite from the new Catrice Product Launches, is the *Catrice Glam & Doll Mascara. I love the wand, it separates my lashes perfectly, thanks to the long, thin bristles. The formula is thin and light, yet it holds my lashes without flaking or smudging. I also don’t need sandpaper to remove it, which is always a win!

And now for a few empties (seems like all I did this month is shower, haha)!

Palmolive Gourmet Spa French Vanilla– I really liked this, it was rich and creamy, and non-drying, and smells heavenly! I would definitely repurchase!

Africa Organics Baobab Clay Wash– I really liked this foaming clay wash too! It has a light citrus scent, and didn’t dry out my skin. It is a bit pricey though, so I am not sure I would repurchase.

Maybelline Babylips- This has lasted me for ages! I really like the Maybelline Babylips range, although for night time I prefer using something thicker like the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. This lipbalm is really nice for during the day, and before applying lipstick.

Lastly, the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil did a good job cleansing and moisturising, but I don’t think it is worth the price.

Always a great review on products I totally LOVE – THAT Catrine Mascara Wand looks amazing- FOR A CHANGE a brush I could probably finally use! Yay

On another subject as youve mentioned it; Is Micro-Needling similar to the DermaPen – I attended a Dermapen Demonstration in GEORGE recently and would totally love a treatment – a little hectic for my pocket but I’ll be saving towards it that’s a certainty! I cannot believe the amazing results they’ve achievec

Yip, the wand is amazing! Yip, it is the same as the Dermapen, Dermapen is more a brand name, than the actual treatment.
