If you didn’t know by now, I am a huge MAC Limited Edition Fan, and as soon as a new collection is launched I rush to check it out, and more often than not get myself a little something in special packaging to hoard. One of the more recent collections is the Jade Jagger Collaboration, and before it launched here in South Africa, I already knew that I wanted the Mineralize Skinfinish and Mineralize Blush in Perfect Bronze, and so as soon as it was available here, off I went to get me my goodies! To my surprise I was also sent three products from the collection by MAC, how exciting, this is probably one of the highlights in my five years of blogging! Okay, so let’s get started on my MAC Jade Jagger Review and Swatches.
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
*Mineralize Blush in Perfect Bronze- I knew I wanted this from the start, and after I swatched it in store I knew I had to have it. I was also sent it for review, so I returned the one I bought, so that I could buy more MAC goodies! This blush has two shades, a warm pink with a gold shimmer, and a warm copper. Each shade can be used separately, but my favourite way to use it is to swirl both shades together, as the third swatch below shows, it creates a gorgeous warm peach shade. The copper side applies better and has a smoother finish, but overall I love this duo!
Mineralize Skinfinish- There are also two shades to this product, a warm matte brown shade, and a warm golden shimmer. The shimmer can emphasise skin texture, and does have some visible glitter, but for a night out this is a wonderful product. Once again my favourite way to wear this is to swirl both together and you can see the effect in the last swatch below.
*Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Sunset Pearl- This rosy brown shade has great pigmentation, but also feels really light, comfortable and hydrating on the lips. The coverage is buildable, and I found that blotting my lips in between applications really intensified the colour. Although the pigmentation is impressive, the feel of the lipstick itself felt very nourishing, almost like a lip balm, while still being long lasting.
*Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad in Burning Nights- This quad has a stunning mix of shades suitable for both a natural or a dramatic eye. A soft shimmery beige which is perfect for your base shade, my favourite is a warm dark gold that applies so beautifully, and then the two darker shades, a deep shimmery olive green and a dark shimmery navy blue. The dark blue didn’t apply very smoothly when applied dry unfortunately, and is best used with a damp brush to increase the pigmentation.
The MAC Jade Jagger Collection is available now for a LIMITED TIME Online, as well as in Free Standing Stores.
