I’ve been trying out a few new goodies from Burt’s Bees recently. I was introduced to Burt’s Bees when they just launched in SA at a beautiful event. Burt’s Bees products are earth-friendly and contain no nasties.
One of my favourite products from Burt’s Bees is the Moisturising Lip Balm, so I was excited to try the *Mango version which contains Mango Butter. I love that the lip balm hydrates the lips and doesn’t just coat the surface which is a pet peeve of mine. It also smells so fruity and yummy. I reviewed the Vanilla Bean Lip Balm as well as a few other products here.
Below is a swatch of the blush in Toasted Cinnamon. Unfortunately the makeup range isn’t available in SA yet, but I am hoping we get it soon, as this blush is a beauty and I would love to try more makeup from the brand. The blush is silky smooth and is very pigmented. You only need a tiny amount, and be gentle, as even a tiny swirl of a brush picks up a lot of product. The blush blends well and doesn’t emphasize any imperfections, but leaves skin with a lovely glow.
When I first tried the Lip Shimmers I wasn’t too impressed as the shades I tried just didn’t work for me. But these two shades, *Cherry and Fig are absolutely beautiful on my skin tone. Although the name implies some shimmer, there is no glitter or sparkle, rather a beautiful shine, and the shades are quite pigmented too. They also hydrate the lips which I love, and have a refreshing minty scent and feel.
Burt’s Bees is available online here and at Dischem stores.
