Today I am sharing my Fragrance Gift Guide, there are picks for all budgets and notes to suit all tastes. Perfume is such a great gift idea. I am a huge fan of interesting, unique scents, and all of these perfumes tick that box.
Starting with a scent that I have loved for as long as I can remember, Givenchy Organza. This perfume launched in 1996 when I was 11 years old, and I can clearly remember my mom wearing it. I can’t say there are many perfumes that remain as beautiful and modern 26 years later, so I had to include it in my Gift Guide. I think anyone over the age of 30 would love this perfume with its floral and woody notes of Gardenia, African Orange flower, Bergamot, Tuberose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Amber, and Guaiac Wood. Pictured below is a gift set that would be a hit, layering scented products always makes the scent last a bit longer, and the Body Veil is amazing!
Next I have some affordable to mid-range perfumes.
First up, the NUXE Reve de Miel Delectable Fragrant Water, a beautiful scent with notes of Honey, Orange Blossom, Sandalwood and Tonka Bean. For a Fragrance Mist, the scent lasts very long, and is quite strong, in a good way, I love that it can also be sprayed on hair. It is such a beautiful scent, as expected from NUXE, all of their products smell amazing, including their skincare!
Next up, Avon, HER Story*, a perfume that really surprised me. This Woody Spicy scent with notes of Bourbon Pepper, Bergamot, Rose and Patchouli is so unique, it is strong and powerful yet feminine, and I love it. I haven’t found many perfumes in the budget category that impress me with the uniqueness of the scent, but this one is a yes.
The W Beauty Infiniti Perfume is light and fresh, and an easy-going summer scent perfect for all ages. I don’t know the exact notes, but there are definitely some white floral notes along with a woody base.
The 100ml Eau de Parfum from WICK Fragrances is not exactly a budget option, however there are travel sizes for around R300. I blindly bought this scent after reading the description, and I am so pleased with it. Funny story, I placed an order again on Black Friday, and had forgotten I had this scent, and blindly bought it again! All I can say is it is beautiful, not a conventional scent, a deeply layered, well crafted scent. Below is the description, wouldn’t you want this too.
“A union of the simplicities of the volcanic islands with rich and decadent accents from afar. Fresh white flowers and aromatic citrus fruit mingle effortlessly with golden sesame oil and earthy green tea. Intrinsically regal, yet light in character. The scent of a barefoot queen.”
Lastly, the luxury picks.
What would a Christmas be without Jo Malone’s festive scents. Pictured here I have Orange Bitters and White Moss & Snowdrop from the 2021 collection, both beautiful scents and both available again this year. I had had the candles of both of these scents from previous years, and never really paid much attention to the colognes, but when I tried them last year, I sniffed my arms all of the way home, and then went back the next day to buy them both.
I love a fresh rose scent, and Diptyque Eau Rose is exactly that, a fresh scented garden rose, no fluff, just beautiful rose. Rose scents can sometimes smell heavy, grannyish or jammy, but this is pure rose perfection.
I know this Gift Guide is rather late, but if you are still doing some last minute shopping, hopefully this helps! You can check out some previous fragrance guides here.

Hi Azraa,
What an amazing fragrance gift guide! I’m always on the hunt for unique and interesting scents, so I really appreciate all your recommendations. Givenchy Organza is a classic for a reason, and it’s great to see some more affordable options like the NUXE and Avon perfumes.
I’m definitely intrigued by the WICK fragrance – that description sounds divine! And I can totally see myself indulging in the Jo Malone or Diptyque Eau Rose as a special treat. Thanks for sharing your picks! This is going to make holiday shopping so much easier.
