My last Christmas Gift Guide was a bit on the pricey side, so today I am sharing some lovely makeup picks under R500.
First up I have products from the cute Ginger Bread Man Collection from Too Faced. The Ginger Bread Man Collection was one of last years Christmas launches, but you can check out this years here. The collection smells like freshly baked cookies! Here I have Gingerbread Tan, a warm bronzer, the Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Gingerbread Man and the Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Lipstick also in Gingerbread Man.
I am really terrible at applying lashes, and I have wanted to try magnetic lashes for ages. I found these affordable ones from Essence, called Lash, On Lash Off, and I am quite impressed with them. It takes a while to get the positioning right, but once you do it is perfect. Easy to apply and easy to remove.
Although not a budget brand at all, the Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip in Juicy Date is just under R500 and is a pretty nude shade that would work with all skin tones.
Real Techniques *Brushes are my favourite, and the Expert Face Brush is right at the top! The Expert Concealer Brush is new to me, but I quite like how short and dense it is, it works well to buff concealer under the eye area. You absolutely can’t go wrong with brushes from the brand, they are affordable and such great quality! They also have some really great gift sets.
Revlon has some really great new makeup launches that would make perfect gifts.
The *Revlon Photoready Rose Glow Mist primes, hydrates and refreshes the skin for a dewy look. It can be used before or after makeup and is a lovely pick me up for a glowing look.
If cream highlighter is your thing, the *Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick is a perfect on the go glow. It comes in two shades, and the warmer Gold Light is my favourite. It is creamy and doesn’t emphasise skin texture.
The *Revlon ColorStay Day to Night Eyeshadow Quad in Exquisite is a buttery-soft long lasting cream-powder formula. There are nine different palettes to choose from in both nude and bold shades. The shades are highly pigmented and can be transitioned from day to night from one palette.
The *Revlon ColorStay Line Creator Double Ended Liner is my current favourite eye product. It has a kohl eyeliner on one end and a liquid liner on the other, perfect for the festive season. Both sides are highly pigmented, long lasting and smudge proof! There are four different options available, Blackout is obviously my favourite.
As soon as the *Revlon Skinlights Collection launched I knew I would love it! There are six shades in the collection, three Prismatic Bronzers and three Prismatic Highlighters. The embossing of these products is exquisite, and there are options for all skin tones. The shades are silky-soft, blend well and are highly pigmented. I love that the highlighters aren’t glittery at all. The bronzers are beautiful too, with one giving a warm sunkissed matte but not flat glow and the other a highlighting bronzed and bold glow.
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
Prismatic Highlighter in Daybreak Glimmer
Prismatic Highlighter in Twilight Gleam
Prismatic Highlighter in Gilded Dawn
Prismatic Bronzer in Sunlit Glow
Prismatic Bronzer in Gilded Glimmer
