Sunday Riley is a brand that I had wanted to try for ages, and after testing these products out extensively, I can share my thoughts. My Sunday Riley Skincare Review will feature two of the best known products, as well as a few lesser known ones.
Let’s start with Luna Sleeping Night Oil, a retinol oil best known for it’s blue colour. My skin adores this oil, it drinks it up and my skin looks plumper and brighter after use. I don’t think this compares to retinol serums that have higher concentrations, but it does make my skin look and feel great. I still use what I would call proper retinol serums in addition to this. This oil is light enough to use on even oily skin types, but still provides enough hydration for my dehydrated skin. The addition of Blue Tansy ensures skin is balanced but not clogged.
Talking about clogged skin, U.F.O. an ultra-clarifying acne treatment face oil was my go-to when my skin was acting up. I only had a mini of this, and used it to the last drop. This green miracle worker has salicylic acid in addition to other beneficial ingredients to clear and decongest the skin without being drying.
Next up I have Good Genes, All-in-one Lactic Acid Treatment. This treatment chemically exfoliates the skin for brighter, more radiant skin, it also minimises lines and wrinkles and fades dark spots. I love a ‘peeling’ product, I love how it eliminates dull skin for a healthy glow, and this product does just that.
Moving on to cleansers, both of which have been renamed/repackages since.
First up, Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm, which is now called Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm. I love a good cleansing balm, cleansing at the end of the day is such a relaxing ritual, and using a luxury balm like this makes it all that much better. The texture and colour of this balm is just beautiful, and it has a lovely light scent. The balm itself is gentle enough to use around the eye area, but effective enough to remove makeup. Aside from cleansing, this balm also hydrates and calms the skin.
Lastly I have Ceramic Slip Cleanser, a gentle foaming cleanser that doesn’t leave skin feeling tight and stripped. The cleanser contains French Green Clay to draw out impurities. I tried the original cleanser, which is pictured here, as well as the reformulated version which is currently available, and I prefer the former. Although the current one is good, I felt like the first one worked better on my skin.
Hope my Sunday Riley Skincare Review was helpful, it has been in the making for ages. I have a few new products from the brand that I need to try out soon, and I will definitely share my thoughts soon! What are your favourites from the brand?
