As I mentioned in my August Beauty Favourites, I have been quite late with these monthly posts recently, let’s hope next month is better! I really applaud those that get their monthly posts out in the first few days of the month! Today I am sharing my August Beauty Haul with you, and hopefully I will have my August First Impressions out soon after.
I did treat myself to something fancy this month, a bronzer from La Prairie, as well as some makeup and skincare products from Clarins and The Ordinary. Let’s take a peek shall we?
Sephora released another once-off box this time called The All-Star Edition, first to VIB Rouge, and then to everyone. I was lucky enough to grab one as soon as it launched, and I am glad I did. Aside from a Tom Ford Lipstick, it also contains an SK-II Essence and Dior Mascara. You can check out the previous once-off box here, The Iconic Edition.
After a lot of hassle, I finally got my August Play Box. I love that it contains the Hourglass Foundation Stick and a Beauty Blender Micro Mini. I am also quite a fan of the Clinique High Impact Mascara, so I am keen to try this duo. And lastly, Lancer The Method Polish for both a physical and chemical exfoliation.
I also bought two Fifty Kisses Liquid Lipsticks from Laura Geller after reading a review by the lovely Beauty By The Bunny. Check out her swatches, and I am sure you will want them too!
How cute is this mermaid brush I found at Dischem for R90!
I also treated myself to the La Prairie Cellular Treatment Bronzing Powder.
When I saw the essence Blossom Dreams collection in store, I knew I had to grab a few things. I have already reviewed the items I bought, so you can check that out here.
I have had my eye on a few Clarins foundations for a while, especially the Skin Detox Fluid and the True Radiance Foundation.
If you haven’t heard of The Ordinary yet, it is an affordable but highly effective range of skincare products. The first time I ordered The Ordinary products I ordered from ASOS, it came through the post office, took forever, and I got charged customs. Then I heard about Bay.One from Belleblushh. They are by far the cheapest “third party” seller, their shipping charge is pretty reasonable, and their products are genuine. There are also no surprise customs charges when it arrives, as the price you pay is all-inclusive. Mine took about a month to arrive, but that is because the Glycolic Toner was out of stock. Basically you place the order with them, they order your stuff from the supplier (in this case The Ordinary, but they do have other brands), and when all your products arrive at their hub, they ship it to your door.
Lastly, I had some points from The Body Shop that were going to expire, so I got The Drops of Youth Emulsion. I also spotted this new Palmolive Shower Gel at Dischem and it smells amazing! And the Sephora Ultimate Warming Cleanser looked interesting!
Thanks for reading Ladies!
