I know I am quite delayed with this post! I received this package of New L’Oreal Product Launches quite a while ago, took photos and got swatchy, but I am only posting it now. Work has been really busy, so busy that I hardly eat the entire day, which is not good for my mood or my skin. So, as you can imagine I have hardly had the time to sit down and write.
Anyway, moving on to new makeup!
When I received this package, the product I was most excited for was the *Infallible Matte Lip Paint. I am a huge liquid lip fan, as you might have gathered if you are a regular reader. So, lets start there, shall we?
Matte Lip Paint is a perfect way to describe these lippies! They aren’t quite a matte liquid lipstick, they are much lighter and more slippery, which also makes them more comfortable to wear.
The applicator is quite large and really soft. It applies precisely and evenly. The one thing I I did notice is that these need to be shaken a bit, else when they apply it can be a bit oily at first. Also, the tube feels quite light and half empty, but don’t worry, there is plenty of product in there. As you can see below in the top few swatches I didn’t shake the product, so it took a bit longer to dry down. These also fade to a gorgeous stain!
Swatches from top – bottom:
King pink
Wuthering purple
Red actually
Hollywood beige
Apocalypse red
Another lip release is the new *Color Riche Matte Obsession. These are velvety soft, thanks to the Black Camelia Oil and pack a serious pigment punch!
I absolutely love how these feel when applied. I gave a few of these to my mom and she loves them too! You can see in the swatches below how richly pigmented they are! My favourites are Mahogany Studs and Hype.
Swatches from top-bottom:
Mahogany Studs
Plum Tuxedo
Paris Cherry
Retro Red
Hype
Pink-A-Porter
Haute Rouge
Strike A Rose
Next up we have some eye launches. First up is the False Lash Superstar X Fiber Mascara. This is a two-wand fiber mascara. I am not a huge fan of fiber mascaras, as I usually end up getting them in my eyes, which is not pleasant at all. But luckily this didn’t happen here.
The first step is a super black primer (above), which not only primes the lashes, but also adds volumes.
The second step is the fiber wand (below), which adds length and lift. I like that these fibers don’t fall all over the place, so nothing gets in your eyes or on the rest of your face. I am also glad the fibers are black, which makes them unnoticeable on my lashes. I was worried that these would look clumpy, but my lashes looked long and feathery.
You can repeat the steps for added drama if you so wish!
And last, but definitely not least we have the Infallible Gel Crayon. These liners are so smooth and pigmented. They last well on my waterline with no smudging or raccoon eyes. Of the ones I received the black and brown are my favourites. The purple is the least pigmented of the bunch.
You can see how pigmented these are below!
And that’s a wrap!
