May Beauty Favourites!

Hi Ladies

It is time for my May Beauty Favourites.

May Beauty Favourites

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in Devotion is my favourite of the shades I own. They are all pigmented, comfortable, and smell amazing, but this shade is pure perfection. I would describe it as a dusty rose shade, that would suit all skin tones.

Winter calls for extra moisturising and The Body Shop Wild Rose Nourishing Hand Butter does just that. It is thick but non-greasy, and smells like roses.

The Morgan Taylor Winter Collection should be out by now, and the shade to check out is *I Or-chid You Not. It is such a unique shade, a sort of beige/taupe grey/lilac. It’s hard to describe. It is easy to apply, smooth and non-streaky and this shade can be used all year round!

This Sephora Blush in Coral Flush is subtle and gives a nice blushing flush to my skin. It applies well, is long lasting and the only downside is that Sephora is not available in SA. But… You can order from Sephora online.

The entire Matrix Total Results Mega Sleek range impressed me, but the *Mega Varnish blew me away. I love how light and non-greasy it is, but leaves my hair super soft and frizz free. My hair even slips through my invisbobble after using this, no jokes!

Essence Sun Club Review Swatch

The Essence Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powder in Sunset, was the best R80 I have ever spent. You can use the pink shade as a blush, the bronze shade as a bronzer, or swirl your brush around and get a glowing rose gold/copper blush, which is my favourite way. You can see the swatches in the above picture. I just love it!

May Beauty Favourites

The Essence 2 in 1 Eyeshadow and Liners are part of the latest Essence Launches. I have it go bro’nze and black to the routes. They are so pigmented and easy to use and they do not budge! They can be used as an intense eyeshadow or smudged out for a more subtle look. They can also be used as a liner, that does not budge, even on the water line. I use the bronze shade as an eyeshadow, and then I line both my upper and lower lids with the black liner and smudged it out a bit for a smokey look. For R60, you cannot go wrong! She’s got the mauve is the next shade on my wishlist!

I have already reviewed the *Lancome Juicy Shakers, so I won’t go into too much detail. These are moisturising and perfect for winter, while giving you subtle colour. If you expect highly pigmented colour, you will be disappointed, but this is perfect for a light wash of colour teamed with nourishing oils. If you double dip, you will get more colour, which is what I do, and you can see in the swatch of Good Kara-Mel above.

I also have a couple of empties this month:

REN Micellar Water

La Mer the hand treatment is nice, but I don’t think it is moisturising enough for the price. I would much rather spend my money on The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector.

I love Micellar waters, and the REN 3 in 1 Cleansing Water was no different, except it sometimes made my eyes water for some weird reason.

Steam Cream South Africa

Steam Cream is the lightest but most nourishing cream I have ever tried, I wish these were still available in SA!

Lastly, Afriderm Hand and Body Lotion was really moisturising, but I didn’t like the scent much, but it was moisturising enough that I finished it. The Afriderm Peeling Gel is definitely a must though!

Thanks for popping by, while you are here, check out the Juliette Armand Giveaway!
