Revlon Newbies to check out!

Hi Ladies

Today I will be sharing some awesome new Revlon Launches with you!

First, let’s just take some time to appreciate the box… Fancy! Okay, moving on…

Revlon South africa best foundation

I absolutely love Revlon press drops, not only because I love the brand, but because they always add that extra touch to make it extra special. This one came with a note which you can read below.

Revlon South Africa

The *Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Compact Makeup & Concealer (R299) gives you perfectly paired foundation and concealer in one easy compact. There is also an applicator and a really good mirror! This compact combines Revlon’s famous Colorstay technology with a sweat resistant formula to keep you looking flawless all day. There are 14 shades available.

Revlon South Africa 2 in 1

The *Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder (R199) provides a perfecting matte finish without looking cakey, pores and shine be gone! The powder also comes in 14 shades, and includes a translucent shade too.

I received the compact in True Beige(bottom) and Toast(middle), and the powder in Toast(top).

Revlon Foundation and concealer

First, let me say that the foundation and concealer are perfect matches as you can see in the swatches above. I used True Beige on Friday night and I really like it. The foundation coverage can be light to full depending on how you apply it. I mixed it with a bit of liquid highlighter before buffing it into my skin for a light luminous coverage. The concealer is not very heavy duty, but when used over a corrector it disguises dark circles pretty well. I then used Toast as a bronzer/contour cream. Revlon is certainly going all out in the convenient and innovative foundation department, remember the Photoready Instafix Stick Foundation? It is still one of my favourite foundations.

I used the powder to set under my eyes and around me nose, and it gives a filtered look without being heavy. The only thing I found a bit strange is that the Toast powder is quite a bit lighter than the Toast foundation as you can see in the photo above. So if you are buying both products, test the products in store for a perfect match.

Overall I think the 2 in 1 compact is great for anyone looking for both a foundation and concealer, especially if you are finding it hard to get the perfect match. And at R299 for both a foundation and concealer, this pair is definitely worth it. The compact will also suit all skin types as it is not particularly oily or drying. I have been using the powder daily to set my concealer, so if you are looking for a pressed powder that doesn’t leave you looking cakey, this is a good option… I don’t use powder on my entire face, as I am a fan of the dewy look, but this certainly keeps my concealer in place.

Revlon mascara review purple Ultra Volume

In addition to the new face products, the box included some extra goodies for lashes, nails and lips!

If you haven’t heard/seen by now Revlon completely revamped their mascara offerings and slim lined it to 5 sleek looking options. I previously reviewed the Ultimate All-In-One Mascara and the Super Length Mascara and the All-In-One is definitely the one to beat. Now I got to try the Ultra Volume too, next on my to-try list is the Volume + Length Magnified Mascara. The *Ultra Volume mascara pumps up the volume without the clumps, which is always my concern with volumising formulas. There are short and long bristles which coat every single lash to give you voluminous but natural looking lashes. Although the All-In-One still has my heart, this mascara is pretty impressive too.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Up the Ante Swatch

I also received the *Colorstay Gel Envy in Up The Ante and the Diamond Top Coat. These polishes are quick and easy to use, the colour includes a base coat, which completely cuts out a step of your mani routine, and both the colour and top coat dry super fast. Up The Ante is a perfect Spring/Summer shade, and is perfection in two thin coats. If you want to brighten up the cold weather, then stick this shade on your nails, I am sure it will cheer you up.

Lastly, I received the *Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour in Addiction.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip colour

Last month I finally found the highly coveted Ultra HD Matte Lipcolours at Dischem, and I bought myself three, Devotion, Love and Flirtation. Luckily I didn’t buy Addiction! You can check out my March Haul here.

These look amazing, smell amazing and feel amazing. They are highly pigmented and one of the most comfortable matte lip products I have tried. From the top left corner going clockwise we have *Addiction, Devotion, Love and Flirtation. My favourite is Devotion, it is the most universally flattering and I think you all need one in your stash!

See anything you like?
