Today I am sharing my July Beauty Favourites with you… and I have a few empties to share too.
I bought this Gatsby Nano Million Scrub overseas, but I have seen a couple of Gatsby products at Dischem. I love this scrub, even though it is aimed at men! The grit is so fine, and it leaves my skin looking and feeling smoother and more refined without being too harsh. It has a fresh scent, and if you are a fan of fine but intense exfoliating, then you will love this. The grain reminds me a bit of The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion.
I have been loving this *Moroccanoil Blow-Dry Concentrate. There is no crunchiness, just sleek frizz-free hair. Designed for course and unruly hair, this product gives hair a smooth, soft and silky finish. What I love about this is, it can be used on damp or dry hair, and it can be used whether you are blow-drying your hair or not. Which is great for me, since I hardly ever blow-dry my hair, I prefer air-drying. It has the famous Moroccanoil scent, and has a similiar texture to the oil. In my opinion, this offers the same benefits as the oil, with some extras like manageability during blow-drying.
This Darling Jane Strengthening and Healing Nail Oil is my first product from this home grown natural skincare brand, and I am impressed. I bought this to help keep my nails and cuticles healthy during winter, and it couldn’t have done a better job. I apply a good amount of this on my nails and cuticles before bed and massage it in. It has a fresh citrus scent, and the skin around my nails has never looked better. It is richer than other cuticle oils I have tried, which is perfect for before bed time.
This Human + Kind Family Remedy Cream has been another winter saviour. I like using it on my hands as well as any other dry areas. I have had a few Dry Skin Woes, and this product has helped get my skin back on track. It has a lemon scent, is ultra nourishing and can be used for a varitey of skin care issues.
The scent of *Lux Sheer Twilight Body Wash is indescribable! I cannot even explain how much I love this scent. Lux, please make a fragrance mist/candle/cream anything that can make this scent linger longer. Unfortunately this doesn’t last as long as the claimed 8 hours, which is really really sad, because I love the scent, it is luxurious, intoxicating, elegant and seductive. The best part about this product is the price! I will definitely be buying this!
The Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in Soft Berry is a stunning creamy warm nude shade that is extremely comfortable and nourishing on the lips. It is pigmented, long lasting and non-drying, which makes it perfect for winter.
I am also loving the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Lumiere 2! It is such a beautiful shade, and it is long lasting and non-drying. I love that is is comfortable on the lips and doesn’t crack or flake. And let’s not forget that Colourpop is affordable!
I bought this Bourjois Happy Light Ultra-covering Concealer in Beige Dore at Clicks a while ago, and it has been my go to for under-eye circles. It is thick and creamy, and has great coverage. It doesn’t crease easily, and really helps to brighten my under-eye area.
The Body Shop Foundation Brush is amazing! It gives light, flawless coverage and it is the best affordable duo-fibre brush I have tried. It doesn’t shed, it isn’t scratchy, and I could not be happier with this purchase. Also, there is currently a 3 for 2 promotion on at The Body Shop on skincare and makeup products… Put this brush on your list and go go go!
Empties
I really enjoyed this Nip+Fab Dry Skin Fix Body Butter, it has a really nice scent and was extremely nourishing.
I loved the *Skoon Hot Cloth Cleanser, this little pot lasted so long!
Lastly, the Oh So Heavenly Regenerating Hand Serum was okay. The scent is heavenly, but it wasn’t rich enough for my liking.

Hi Azraa, you gave some amazing and affordable products there. Can you do a review/ swatch of the Bourjois concealer? I usually stick to the LA Girl pro concealer but I noticed that it does tend to oxidise. .it goes darker / more orange about 1 hr after application. I’m on the hunt for a new concealer. Have you had any experience with the Kryolan one?
Interesting question – I’m also curious 🙂
I am using LA Girl / Catrice camouflage cream and an Essence product but the darkness is visible by mid day.
This doesn’t oxidise at all on me. Does it oxidise even with a setting powder and spray?
Nope I haven’t tried Kryolan. This one doesn’t oxidise at all. I’ll do a swatch soon and add it to this post.
