A brand new Catrice limited edition range has landed at Dischem. If you want to know which products are a hit and which are a miss, today is your day. Let’s get started with the Catrice Bold Softness Review and Swatches.
This range is so pretty and pastel, perfect as the weather warms up and we head into Spring. The range contains two lipsticks (R79.95), four nail polishes (R52.95), one perfume stick (R69.95), three duo eyeshadows (R69.95) and one correcting powder (R69.95).
Swatches below from R-L
First up, the lipstick in NeopRED… Both lipsticks in this collection are on the sheer shiny side, so if you prefer a more intense lip, you should give these a miss. I quite like this shade though, it isn’t quite as red on the lips, but it gives a nice wash of colour.
Next up, Colour Correcting Powder in Correction ‘n Perfection. When I swatched this in store I thought it would look too light and ashy on me, but because it is so pretty I decided to buy it anyway. And I was pleasantly surprised! I used this to set my concealer under my eyes and it helped to brighten the area, and even made the area look smoother. Below is a heavy swatch, but once blended it isn’t visible on the skin.
Last we have the eyeshadow duos in Soft PINKmentation and Mauve Medley. These are buttery soft and extremely pigmented. If you like a neutral eye, Soft PINKmentation is stunning, and if you prefer a more glamorous intense eye, definitely try Mauve Medley. These perfectly matched duos are perfect for a smoky eye.
I also bought the perfume stick in Walk on Air, which has quite a nice fresh scent. It isn’t very long lasting, but is really easy to carry around in your handbag to add a burst of freshness during the day.
And now for the hero products of the collection… The Satin Matt Nail Lacquers! These semi-matte satin finish polishes are amazing in perfect pastel shades with a Neoprene Effect. I would pick up at least one of these, thank me later!
Swatches (R-L) VoluMINTous, Mauve Medley and Soft PINKmentation.
I really struggled to capture the finish and vibrancy of the polishes, but hopefully you can see the beauty, and if not, imagine it or go and try it for yourself!
See anything you like?
