Hi Ladies
A while ago I was sent a Skoon Make It Yours Trial Pack from Skoon Skincare. I love the concept of discovery kits or sample bags! I think it shows a brands confidence in its products, as well as gives consumers a chance to try out a full skincare range without spending a fortune.
The pack I was sent included three moisturisers, three cleansers, two serum concentrates and a toner. It comes packaged in a pretty bag, and although the products are sample sizes most of them have lasted me two to three months. I still have more than half of both concentrates, the hot cloth cleanser and the floral spritz toner left, and I started using these in October.
Skoon Concentrate Rosehip C+: Packed with Rosehip and Vitamin C, this serum is great for mature or damaged skin. My skin looks instantly brighter, thanks to the slight tint of the Rosehip. And the best part is you only need a couple of drops, so this product will last you a long time. I either press it into my skin before moisturiser, or I mix a couple of drops into my moisturiser and apply. If you get one of the concentrates, let it be this one.
Skoon Concentrate Glowdrops: This product increases hydration and plumpness, but to be honest, for a glow I prefer the Rosehip C+. This concentrate does make my skin look healthier though, and for anyone without major skin issues this is a great option.
Skoon Floral Spritz Toner: I am not really a toner person, I double cleanse, so I don’t really see the point. But I do like to spritz this on after cleansing for a refreshing and cooling skin boost. I have become quite the fan of face mists recently, and this one is great to add to my collection.
Moisture Gel: I finished this product first, it is an extremely thin and light gel, but it actually moisturises your skin unlike other gels I have tried. If you suffer from oily skin, this is the product for you. It is also perfect for those dreadfully hot summer days when you want to wear as few thin layers as possible on your face.
Super Moisturiser: This moisturiser falls somewhere between the Gel and Cream. It is moisturising without being thick or greasy. And it really does a fantastic job. If I had to pick one mosturiser I would pick this one. It even featured in my November Favourites.
Double Thick Cream: When my skin needs a bit of extra care, I turn to this cream. It is exactly as the name describes, double thick. I like using this at night, and I think this would make an excellent winter treat for dry skin. Although it is thick, it isn’t greasy, and it doesn’t clog my pores, which is a definite plus!
Cleanser + Makeup Remover: I love this product! It applies as a gooey gel which I gently massage into my skin. I then apply water and it becomes a milky creamy cleanser which removes all traces of makeup. This is a definite rival for my all time favourite Camomile Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop, and it was even the star of my October Favourites!
Purifying Cleanser: On those problem skin days I use this cleanser, it helps to draw out excess oil without drying the skin. This tub got a bit dried up, but I just added a couple of drops of water, and it was all good again. The full size product does come in a tube, so that won’t happen.
Hot Cloth Cleanser: I love hot cloth cleansers, I actually use any oil or balm cleanser as a hot cloth cleanser. This is a very luxurious cleanser, and I love it. I also love the quality of the cloth, way softer than others I have tried. Hot cloth cleansers allow for a deeper clean, and a mild exfoliation, which is right up my alley!
You can try out some Skoon Trial Packs too. The Skoon Make It Yours Trial Pack (8 samples), which is the one I received is R100. The Skoon Customised Trial Pack (7 samples) where a pack is customised to your skin concerns is also R100. The Skoon Remedi Trial Pack (5 samples) which is suitable for oily skin is R75.
Thanks for reading Ladies!
Morning, where can we purchase the trial pack for R100 please. I think it’s wonderful that a company offers this as we are all skeptical about beauty products. Regards Emma
Is this product available in salons in Joh Burg or only on line?
I have only bought from Kamersvol, so I am not too sure. But you can send them an email and I’m sure they can give you a list of stockists.
The serum is on my wishlist. ☺
It is amazing!
Thanks so much for bringing these trial packs to my attention. I’ve been wanting to try Skoon skincare for AGES but wasn’t sure if it would work well with my skin. Now I can give it a go without investing huge amounts of money before I know it’ll be awesome. Woohoo!
Pleasure! They are also launching travel sizes at the end of the month. I can’t wait to buy the overnight mask.
