I am not even going to say that I can’t believe October is over, as I am sure you have read enough of that already!
It is time for my October Favourites, as well as some empties, yay!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: I was so excited when I found this at Clicks! I love Micellar Waters, and this one is so affordable! I have tried quite a few Cleansing Waters, and there is not much difference, aside from price. And when it comes to price, Garnier wins hands down. I use this as a last step in my cleansing routine. You can read more about my thoughts on this product here.
Freeman Bare Foot Foot Balm: This Lemon and Sage Foot Balm from Freeman is amazing! It smells nice and fresh, and moisturises rather well, but my favourite thing about this Foot Balm, is that it is not greasy, it dries to a sort of matte finish. I always put foot cream on when I get out the shower, but it is always a mission to put foot cream on and then slide around in your shoes, with this product there is no greasiness and sliding, but it is still really moisturising. I don’t know how it works, but it just does! Freeman products are available at Dischem.
Essence ‘Hello Autumn’ Colour Adapting Powder Blush in ‘Beauti-fall Red: This is such a pretty blush, it adapts to your skin, and has a slight shimmer too. It is easy to overdo it with this blush, since it does take a bit of time to adapt to your skin. It is a really pretty pink colour on me, and I love the slight shimmer!
Real Techniques Duo Fibre Contour Brush: As much as I loved cream blush, I didn’t like applying it, until this brush. I now love using cream blush. This brush makes it so easy, and also avoids applying too much product. I use it like a stippling brush to apply the blush onto my cheeks. I also use it for applying cream highlighter sometimes, and it is so great, I need another one of these! Real Techniques Brushes are available at Clicks and online on Biovea and Takealot.
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin: This blush has been sitting in my organiser forever, and I never really used it. Until I started using it with the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Brush, and now I love it. Sometimes all you need is the right brush! It gives a healthy flushed glowing colour to the cheeks.
Real Techniques Blush Brush: I love this fluffy blush brush. It blends really well, has a nice tip for precise application. And it is so soft on the skin. This is one of my favourite brushes.
Makeup Revolution Protection Palette: This palette is everything you ever need, ever! It has three concealer shades, one setting powder, one highlighter, one bronzer and one blush. What more does a girl need? I bought this from Makeup Revolution a while ago, and I am really loving it, it was so affordable too. The concealers are creamy, the setting powder is really great, and the other powders are highly pigmented and blendable.
I do have another palette like this on my blogsale here if you are interested?
And the winner this month… Skoon Cleanser + Make-Up Remover*! I love this local product, you can read my thoughts of some other Skoon products here. It is a gooey gel that I massage onto my face, I then add water, and it turns into a milky creamy cleanser. I like to remove it with a warm face cloth, for that extra bit of cleansing and a bit of exfoliating too. It even works on waterproof mascara, without any burning or tugging. It is also free from soap, fragrances and preservatives. Get clean with Skoon. (For anyone who doesn’t know, Skoon means Clean in Afrikaans) Check out more Skoon products here.
And now for the products I finished in October!
Windrose Shower Oil: I loved using this shower oil. You can read more about it in my July Favourites here. I would repurchase this! This product is available at Dischem.
Fennel Olive Oil Body Butter: I love this body butter, it is really moisturising, has a pleasant scent, and is so affordable! You can find Fennel Body Butters at Dischem. The Cherry Blossom, Passion Fruit and Cucumber and Melon are my favourite scents. Although they are not as moisturising as this one. I will definitely buy this again.
Nivea Creme: Well, this is a classic that needs no introduction.
Optiphi Renew Anti-Ageing Hand Therapy*: This is an amazing hand cream, the scent, the spf coverage, and most importantly the moisturising factor. I love this cream. You can read a full review here. Available at selected salons.
Dermagen Skincare Supplements: I love love love these luxury supplements! In just two months I can see a visible difference in my skin. You can read more about my experience with Dermagen here. I will definitely be getting more! Dermagen is available online here and at selected salons.
Stila Brightening Concealer: I really love this concealer for the under-eye area, it covers well, and doesn’t crease. I would repurchase this once my other concealers are finished. Available at Woolworths and Clicks, and online on Spree and Takealot.
Maybelline Baby Lips Intense Care*: This is a perfect moisturising lip balm, with spf coverage too. You can read more on my thoughts here. I would repurchase this.
Salvatore Ferragamo Bath and Shower Gel: I love the scent of this!
The Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector: This is a great foot cream, I am not a huge fan of the scent, but if you suffer from dry feet, this is for you! Ever since my foot peel, my feet are baby soft! I would repurchase this when my feet need some TLC.
La Mer Cleansing Lotion: My boyfriend gave me this a while ago, and I loved using this as a second cleanse, rich and creamy!
Lipidol Cleansing Oil: I love this product, it is so effective and affordable too. You can read more about it here. I would repurchase this in a flash! Well, once I have finished my stash of cleansers! Lipidol is available at Clicks.
