I know, I know, it is pretty late for December First Impressions. But let’s just get started, shall we?
For most of these products I already have full reviews with swatches, so I won’t go into much detail.
I started trying a couple of tarte products, and I am loving them all. The blushes are both stunning, and although they look similiar, the colour on my skin comes up really differently, they blend well and last amazingly long. The lipstick is creamy, and comfortable, and I love the nude shade. The BB Tinted Treatment Primer has more coverage than I expected, and perfects and evens out the skin, and the spf 30 makes it a winner! The famous lights, camera, lashes is an all in one mascara, and I love it. It is on the dry side, which I love, I am not a fan of wet mascara at all. This plumps up lashes, lengthens and curls too. Lastly, the skincare. Deep Dive Cleansing Gel does a good job cleaning, without drying the skin. The Marine Boosting Mist can be used before and after makeup, and it does a good job of adding moisture to the skin as well as keeping makeup in place. Lastly is the Hydrating Boost Moisturiser, it has a bit of a tacky feeling when applied, but that doesn’t last very long. It is a very light gel and smells a bit like ginger beer to me. It makes my skin look plump and decreases the look of my dehydration lines. I am really happy with all the products, and the brand too!
I received two of the new Eye Colour Sticks from The Body Shop. *Nevada Gold and *Siberian Quartz. Both of these last surprisinly long without flaking or smudging. SIberian Quartz is my favourite, and looks amazing applied to the entire lid.
The Matte Lip Liquids are nice and pigmented, but they do get a bit uncomfortable as they dry down. They are long-lasting, but dry lips might suffer.
I did a full review as well as swatches on these *NYX Products, so I won’t say much except the Liquid Suede in Orange County and the Slide On, Glide On eyeliner are amazing!
Next up is the *3INA Dark Holiday Collection. The Powder Pearls are what dreams are made of!
New beauty brand *L.O.V Cosmetics has gotten a lot of love from the blog recently, for good reason! The Blush and Serum Foundation are amazing!
Another new beauty brand to hit our shores is *Mii Cosmetics. The Celestial Skin Shimmer in Aurora is gorgeous!
Catrice *Velvet Matt Lip Cream in 30 and *Matt Lip Artist are new launches that I have had my eye on for a while. The Matt Lip Artist is really amazing, and is on of my December Favourites. The Matt Lip Cream in 30 is a stunning dusty rose. It is creamy and comfortable on the lips while still giving a matt finish.
Next up I have two more tarte products, a blush and lip tint in Sweet. Unfortunately they don’t suit me much, so they will be going to by Blog Sale.
The Nature’s Carnival Triple Moisture Body Cream is so hydrating, without being thick and greasy, I love it!
I also have the essence Mosaic Blush in the berry connection and Catrice CorAll I Need. The essence blush is a bit too pink for me, but the Catrice Blush Artist Shading Palette is amazing! I have been using it so often!
Next I have these two heavenly scented products from L’Occitane. *Arlesienne has the most amazing scent, and the Velvet Hand Cream is just that, velvet, it isn’t greasy at all, and leaves my hands soft and scented. The Gloss smells the same, and has a slight tint to it. It isn’t sticky and adds quite a bit of moisture to the lips.
I was sent the *Retail Box Secret Box 30 to review, and I did a full review.
I had a couple of experiences with Dermaceutic last year, and they never disappoint, and this Vitamin C Serum is no different. The *Tri Vita C30 is the most potent Vitamin C Serum currently available and has been doing wonders for my skin, especially paired with the results from my Cosmo Peel. I will have a full review up soon, including the benefits of Vitamin C in skincare. But for now, I am using this serum every second day in the morning, and my skin texture has improved and my skin is looking more even too.
I swear the *Multi-Active Toner from Dermalogica has fairy dust in it. My face looks so much brighter and radiant whenever I use it before moisturising, even my makeup applies better.
The *Hydrablur Primer is a firm favourite, and I have mentioned it a few times before.
This was my first time using a cleanser from Dermalogica, except for the pre-cleanse. The *Special Cleansing Gel is so gentle yet effective, and removes every trace of dirt and makeup. And for a gel, it doesn’t dry the skin.
Lastly for skincare I have the esse Refining Cleanser that I am loving! I am also trying out two Freeman Masks, but I find them too drying for every day use, and work better when my skin feels like it needs a deeper clean.
Thanks for popping by for my First Impressions. Come find me on Twitter too.
