December Beauty Favourites

I hope everyone is ready for the year ahead! As you can see, I am off to a slow start, since I am only getting my December Beauty Favourites up now. I also have my Best of 2016 posts to complete and publish, hopefully before the end of January.

December Beauty Favourites

First up I have these stunning *Powder Pearls from 3INA, which are part of the Limited Edition Dark Holiday Collection. They give skin a perfect glow, and I see myself reaching for this product often!

Next up, a blush called Seductive Flamingo from another new beauty brand to land on our shores, L.O.V Cosmetics. This blush reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm, it is such a pretty shimmery coral shade.

Next I have the NYX Liquid Suede in Orange County. I have already mentioned my love for the NYX Liquid Suede formula, and this bright orange shade lives up to it. It is comfortable and long lasting, but takes a while to fully dry down, so it does transfer a bit, without removing the pigment from the lips though. This shade is so bright, it brightens your entire face, and I love it.

Also from *NYX, is the eyeliner with the longest name in the world. Let’s just call it Slide On, Glide On. I love my eyeliner black and long lasting, and this delivers! It is soft to apply, almost gel like, doesn’t smudge, lasts forever, and is black as night.

I don’t have a swatch of the products above, as I do have full reviews and swatches of the NYX and L.O.V Cosmetics products.

Catrice 6 hour matt lip artist

Last on the makeup front, the *Catrice Matt Lip Artist 6hr in 020, Best Rosebuddies Forever. This is soft and creamy, but matte. Comfortable yet long lasting. And highly highly pigmented in only one swipe, as you can see in the swatch below.

This Refining Cleanser from esse is amazing! It is a lightly foaming clay wash, it also has a slight grit that gently exfoliates the skin. It isn’t drying at all, and actually leaves skin feeling quite balanced and hydrated. My skin looks cleaner, brighter and more refined and over time my clogged pores have decreased significantly! As you can see above, it looks quite thick and pasty, but it feels really light on the skin once water is added. Also, esse is Proudly South African, certified organic, vegan and cruelty free. It was also one of the first skincare brands internationally to realise the importance of Probiotics in skincare back in 2009!

Last, but certainly not least is the *Dermaceutic K-Ceutic. I was given this as part of a home-care system following my Dermaceutic Mela-Peel. I have since had another more intense Dermaceutic Peel called the Cosmo Peel, and I actually have another one coming up this week. The Cosmo Peel is intense, my skin went red and even brown, and peeled off, all of this lasted for about a week. This cream was my saviour, packed with ingredients to help skin recovery as well as an SPF 50. And aside from that, it helped soothe my skin. I am slowly but surely running out, but I hope it will last until my final Cosmo Peel.

    Hi Azraa,

I bought the very same shade from the Catrice Matt Lip Artist 6hr – 020 (Best Rosebuddies). 🙂
I was also looking at 010, a nude, but finally decided on Best Rosebuddies – very beautiful!
