Oh Mii Cosmetics, you make me happy! It seems like exciting new beauty brands are popping up often these days, and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. Let me introduce you to Mii Cosmetics which recently launched in South Africa.

Mii’s creation has been inspired by the wants and wishes of beauty spa and salon devotees, as well as a team of makeup and skincare experts. Mii is makeup that is all about you.

Mii Cosmetics combines the finest ingredients, unrivaled expertise and effortless application. There are five different foundations, as well as a selection of wearable shades for eyes, lips, cheeks and complexion, not forgetting the sixteen tailor-made brushes to get the most out of your Mii makeup. There is something for everyone!

I was sent three products to try out, and let me tell you, I was impressed.

The *Forever Eye Crayon in Rose Gold (R360) basically lasts forever! It is so pigmented and soft and smooth, and it doesn’t pull the skin at all. It is creamy on application, but sets pretty quickly to a smudge and crease proof finish. There are six shades available, so you can play around with a few shades, or stick to one across your eyelid. The top swatch below is one swipe of the eye crayon.

The *Celestial Skin Shimmer in Aurora (R580) is stunning, it can be used as a blush or highlighter, and there are so many colour combinations, use each shade alone, or swish your brush through all six shades for a gorgeous glow! You can see the swatches of each of the six shades above, from a rusty blush to a pink highlight, Aurora has your covered. I love multi-use products, and for this price, I am so glad I will get a lot of use out of it! It would also work well as an eye-shadow.  There is another pinker shade Rose Quartz, but I am so glad I got Aurora, it suits me perfectly! This is one of those products that I would gladly spend my money on. It is soft and buttery, and hopefully the swatches below capture its beauty. Below are swatches of all of the shades swished together, blended and unblended. The top swatch is unblended, and the bottom swatch is blended in both images.

The *Perfect Finish Brush (R550) works really well with all powder products, and can be used for both light or heavy application. It is quite dense, which makes it easy to buff the product well into the skin for a seamless finish. It is pretty expensive though, and for this price, I would much rather get the highlighter, and buy a more affordable brush.
