Everytime I walk into Clicks, I walk out with a New NYX Product! Thankfully, the stock issues seem to be mostly resolved and the shelves are well-stocked with the New NYX Product Launches. I received a couple of new products to try out, so here are my thoughts:
Let’s start with this stunning Ombre Blush in *Insta Flame. This is a highly pigmented, bright blush, that goes from a Matte Nude to a Matte Strawberry Pink. When I saw these at Pro Beauty, I bought two, Feel The Heat and Soft Flush because I was so impressed by the pigment and how buttery they were. So, I was more than happy to add another one to my collection. I love that you can get a natural looking blush, or a bright and bold blush, or even something in between, from just one product. You can see swatches below of both extremes of the blush.
Next up we have the *Highlight & Contour Pro Palette. It is a really versatile palette, with shades to suit most skin tones. I love that there are warm and cool toned bronzers, for warming up the face, and for contouring. There are two shimmer highlighters and two matte. The yellow matte shade is my favourite for setting my under-eye concealer and for brightening the area, similiar to the Ben Nye Banana Powder, and the darker shimmer highlight is my favourite for getting a glow. I had already bought this palette prior to receiving it, and although it is pricey, I do think it is great value for money. Also, the palette is customisable, so you can easily pop out shades that you don’t like, or even shades that you love and have finished, and replace it with singles.

*Liquid Suede in Orange County is a stunning bright orange shade. It is long lasting and comfortable, although not transfer proof. I had already bought this shade before receiving it, and I would definitely buy it again. The Liquid Suede formula is one of the best I have tried, and Soft Spoken remains one of my favourites of all time!
*Lip Lingerie in Satin Ribbon is a very pale nude, that unfortunately doesn’t work for my skin tone. I have bought the shade Exotic though, which is a much better option. The Lip Lingerie range is matte, and the colours range from nude to brown. The formula is a bit drier than Liquid Suede, but is way more long lasting, although if you suffer from dry lips it can be a bit uncomfortable.
*Slide On, Glide On Eyeliner in Jet Black has a soft gel like texture, and is super long lasting. It doesn’t smudge or flake and works really well on the waterline without running and giving you racoon eyes. This is definitely one to check out. There are quite a few other shades too, if Jet Black isn’t your thing, but it certainly is mine!
So, the *Wonder Pencil in Medium is another product that I had already bought since I had heard such great things about it. Conceal flaws, line your lips to prevent bleeding or use along your waterline to brighten the eyes, this pencil has multiple uses. I used it to conceal under my eyes, and although it isn’t as blendable, I found that it didn’t crease at all and covered dark circles really well! I am yet to use it for the other uses, but I think this is a great multitasker, you can see how creamy it is below.
I also received the *Dream Catcher Palette in Stormy Skies, which I haven’t tried yet. It looks like a very useful palette though, with a choice of 10 shades for any eye look, whether it is natural or bold. There is also a cute little compartment at the bottom with a mirror and applicator.
What do you think of the New NYX Product Launches? Have you tried any?
