Hi Ladies

The days are getting shorter, and the nights are getting longer, which can only mean one thing… Winter is coming!

Today I will be sharing my favourite winter face and body care products with you, these products help prepare my skin for the cold, as well as see me through winter without looking like a dried banana peel.

In the next post I will share my favourite winter hair and makeup products.

Winter Body

essence Sponge Nail Caring Oil: This product is really easy to use, just wiggle your finger around in the sponge and your nails and cuticles will thank you.

*Mio Skincare The Activist Firming Active Body Oil: This luxurious body oil is enriched with anti-oxidants and essential oils and it is super moisturising. This non-greasy oil applies like a dream, one pump is good enough for both my arms and chest, and I use another pump for both my legs. I love using it straight after I shower, it absorbs so well. The scent is so soothing and relaxing yet invigorating at the same time. My skin has been a bit dry, itchy and flaky recently, and this cleared it right up. This will definitely be my go to skincare range when I am pregnant one day, firming and moisturising with no nasties. Yes please!

The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue: I love this minty foot treat from The Body Shop. I put this on after a shower, slap on some socks, and good to go.

The Body Shop Shea Beautifying Oil: I love oils, cleansing oils, body oils, shower oils, hair oils, give me an oil and I will be happy. This dry oil from The Body Shop is no different, it smells amazing, absorbs quickly and moisturises well. I do prefer the Mio Oil, as it has more skin benefits and is more moisturising, but if that is out of your budget, this is a purse friendly alternative.

*Mio Future Proof Firming Active Body Butter: To me, this is the Body Oil I mentioned but in a body butter. It is super moisturising, full of goodness and relieves dry itchy skin so well!

The Body Shop British Rose Body Butter: Even if this body butter was bad for me I would be blown away by the scent, but luckily it is not! This isn’t an ordinary body butter, is is enriched with glow enhancing rose essence, and glow it does. Don’t be fooled, its not that glittery glow, it’s a dewy lit from within glow, and we all know we need some glow in winter.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector: Besides being able to vote for a charity of your choice when you buy this limited edition product, this stuff is gooood! It is possibly the best hand cream ever, I am not a huge fan of the scent, in actual face I kinda hate the scent, but it really helps dry hands.

Oh So Heavenly Wrap & Repair Foot Mask: Even feet need a mask every now and again, and here is an affordable option. I give my feet a scrub, and then apply this mask. I put packets over my feet and then put my feet up to relax. Why not pamper your feet during your next pamper session?

*Nature’s Carnival Raspberry Vanilla Fusion Body Butter: This is such a moisturising body butter at such a good price. And it smells amazing too! I am really loving Nature’s Carnival products. I also tried out the African Sun Triple Moisture Body Cream and loved it so much I bought myself two more variants to try.

Winter Face

Freeman Honeydew & Chamomile Sleeping Mask: This light and creamy overnight mask applies like a cream, but works like a mask. I like to use this after exfoliating, right before bed. It absorbs immediately, so there is no risk of messing your pillows. It makes skin feel plump and velvety soft, and by morning my skin is so so happy.

*Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate: As I’ve mentioned before I love oils, and face oils are no different. This face oil from Kiehl’s is meant to be used in the day, but I like to use it both day and night, because it is that awesome. I love mixing a few drops with my face cream in the day, it really helps nourish my skin, and at night I prefer to apply a couple of drops into my hands and press it into my skin, and then follow with face cream. It hydrates my skin and makes it so much better for makeup application. It smells amazing too! Kiehl’s is really hitting it out the park recently.

Nuxe reve de miel Lip Balm: I have had my eye on this for a while, but I wasn’t sure if I could spend this much on a lip balm, but alas I could, and I am glad I did. This balm is all it is hyped up to be, and more, so if your lips are in need of a bit of pampering, spoil yourself with this lip balm.

Good Things Manuka Honey Daily Moisturiser: I like to switch to a more nourishing cream in winter, and this moisturiser offers just that and it is affordable. It smells amazing too. The scrub from this range is pretty great too, scrubby but creamy and nourishing.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: If you want a bit more hydration than the Freeman Overnight Mask, and can get your hands on this mask, I highly recommend it. It is more hydrating, and my skin looks and feels plumper, the texture is also a bit thicker without being greasy. Freeman is definitely a good alternative, but if you can and want to go all out, go with Origins.

Lipidol Overnight Face Oil: If the Kiehl’s Concentrate is out of your price range, you can pick up the Lipidol Face Oil at a fraction of the price. Although this is only an overnight oil, unlike Kiehl’s which is meant to be used during the day. It smells amazing too, and does a good job of nourishing the skin. If I had to choose I would definitely choose Kiehl’s, but this is a great affordable option.

*Sampar Lavish Dream Cream: Oh Dream Cream, this cream is made for winter, it is nourishing and moisturising but not greasy. It absorbs well into the skin and keeps my skin looking plump. I also like the airless jar, which is pretty fancy!

Carmex: My go to, if Nuxe is out of your price range, just get yourself a good old Carmex. You really can’t go wrong with this product. It is a staple on my dressing table!

I really liked this post, together with your hair and makeup edition. So many new products that I’ve never used and I like that you included a budget option for most products too.
I’m also a huge fan of oils, whether body oils, hair oils, face oils, anything. The Mio Active body oil sounds like something that should be in my closet, yes please!
Every few days in winter I like applying a body oil right after taking a bath/shower, and then after about 5 minutes when the oil has fully absorbed, applying a light body lotion as well. This is too much for summer, but in winter it hits the dry skin spot on just the right place 🙂 xx

Thanks for the tip Marne. Will definitely try that, my skin has been super dry lately and it’s not even winter yet. The Mio oil is amazing and is really helping alot.

I can vote for Lipidol overnight oil! I bought the Freeman sleeping mask like a month ago – completely forgot about it. I also enjoy using Avon Royal Jelly for my face.

I haven’t tried Avon Royal Jelly. Thanks for the tip! I quite like the Freeman mask, I just wish it came in the tube, or smaller sachets!
