Hi Ladies
It is once again time for my monthly favourites! Clearly orange and coral is the theme of the month!
First up I have this nifty nail caring oil from Essence. This is the easiest way to take care of your cuticles and nails this dry harsh winter. I keep it next to my bed, and just swish each finger in there before I go to sleep. My cuticles have been a bit dry lately, and using this every night has certainly helped! I can’t remember the price of it, but it is Essence, so it is affordable.
Next, I have the MAC Prep and Prime Face Protect SPF 50. I am loving this, it works as a primer as well as sun protection, and we all know how important sun protection is, yes even in winter ladies! It is slightly thicker than my usual sunscreen, which is either the La Mer or the Nivea Face Fluid, but because it works really well as a primer too I don’t mind, since I will have one less layer on my skin anyway. I think this was about R400.
Next I have some makeup goodies which are perfect to brighten up your winter days.
Bourjois Concealer Stick, I bought this on Spree a while ago, took a chance with the shade, but it turned out perfect. This is one of the best under eye concealers I have tried, it is creamy, doesn’t crease and is so easy to apply. It blends well, and it is quite yellow, so it does a great job of concealing dark circles.
Lip Ice Summer Melon, I love the smell of this, it smells like watermelon chappies. It gives a slight tint to the lips with a glossy shine too. It isn’t super moisturising, but it is as moisturising as an average stick lip balm.
Catrice Illuminating Blush in Coral me Maybe, I did a preview of this range of blushes a while back, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. I finally found all three, and I am loving this one in particular. It is a stunning mix of a light peach and a coral, and swished together gives a perfect flush to my cheeks. I would definitely recommend checking out these blushes when you are next at Dischem.
Revlon Crystal Lip Balm in Peach Crystal, I have had this product for ages, but never got around to using it. It is a thick lip balm that gives a light tint and glossy shine. It moisturises for ages and is extremely long lasting. If you are not a fan of sticky lip products, then this product is not for you.
Lastly, Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Liner in Dark Brown*. I have become a fan of dark brown eyeliners lately, switching my black liners out. I find that dark brown is less harsh, but still gives eyes definition. This liner is extremely soft, and applies really well. It is extremely pigmented, and an intense dark brown. I use this to line both my upper lid and my water line, and I love it. Because it is so soft, I find I have to sharpen it often, which is a bit of a mission, but it has not deterred me from using this daily! It also doesn’t smudge much, which is always hard to find in a kohl liner. I loved this so much, I went out and bought me one in black too 🙂
