It is time for my June beauty haul, and this month I have so many exciting things to share with you! I got my hands on the Becca Jaclyn Hill Face Palette from Sephora, and I finally bought some Colourpop goodies. I also bought some items from the MAC Vibe Tribe Collection, some REN Skincare and the new Retail Box!
Isn’t it a beauty? I am not sure if we will be getting this Becca Jaclyn Hill Face Palette in South Africa, I doubt it though, since we didn’t get the last one. I bought mine from Sephora using Aramex Global, and I am so so pleased with my buy! It was $52, but the value is $136, totally worth it! Unfortunately I had to pay 50% customs again, but still I think it is worth it!
I wrote a full post on my Colourpop Haul, so I won’t say much here.
As soon as I saw the MAC Vibe Tribe Collection release overseas I knew I would love it. The day it launched I stuffed my hair into a bun, threw some clothes over my pj’s, pulled on my ugg boots and off I went to MAC. The item on the top of my list was the Gleam Powder, as I hadn’t seen anything like it in any previous collections. I also bought the Adobe Brick Blush, Refined Golden Bronzer, Yellow Topaz Cream Colour Base and Golden Rinse Extra Dimension Bronzer. For some reason there were no Patent Polish Lip Pencils in store, which is sort of annoying because I really love Teen Dream, and would have liked to get another shade.
So, there is currently a SALE at The Body Shop, which is usually when I stock up on all the items I have had my eye on. Unfortunately most of the products I wanted weren’t on sale, but I managed to save a little bit on the foundation and brush. The Polynesian Tiare Fragrance is what exotic island dreams are made of, it reminds me of Frangipani Trees on the beaches of Thailand. My boyfriend knew that every tree we passed I would stop to take a sniff. The English Gardenia Fragrance Mist is also pretty nice. I have wanted the Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream for a while, and I finally have it. The two new Vitamin E products also caught my attention, a hydrating SPF30 Emulsion and Aqua Boost Essence. I also bought the Fresh Nude Foundation since I have heard many rave reviews about it. Another SPF product is the Instaglow CC Cream which brightens dull skin while protecting from the sun. Lastly I picked up this duo-fibre foundation brush which is really really good and affordable.
I bought some random bits and bobs, foot cream and a face mask. I also found these items in the Clicks sale bin: NYX Cream Blush in Tickled, Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle and Bourjois Happy Light Concealer.
Are you as excited as I am that the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks are finally in South Africa? I found these at Dischem along with this essie Nail & Skin Serum. There are three variants of the Nail & Skin Serum, and each has its own colour, scent and purpose.
I love applying cream blush with a brush, and my Real Techniques Duo Fibre Contour Brush is my go to, but when I saw this brush from Beautique specifically for cream blush I thought I may as well give it a try.
I also bought the Woolworths Makeup Finishing Spray.
Oh REN Skincare, one of my favourites brands, and a brand that I have no problem splurging on. I bought the Clearcalm Cleanser and Mask which I have wanted to try for a while. I also bought the Micro Polish Cleanser. The two most exciting products though are the Bio Retinoid Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate Oil and the Moisture Defence Oil. I love oils, and these two sound really promising.
Retail Box released a new Secret Box, which was all sold out within a few hours, as usual, but I managed to get one. It is aimed at better scalp condition which nourishes and replenishes hair for better growth. I have also been using a hair supplement which has been doing wonders at reducing the amount of hair fall, and I think this duo will only make things better.
P.S. You only have one day left to enter the Dermalogica Age Smart Giveaway! You could be one of three lucky winners!
