February Beauty Favourites + Empties

I know the time has probably passed to share my February Beauty Favourites and Empties, but here we are anyway. This month my favourites are products that are mostly new to me, and have made a really good first impression!

February Beauty Favourites Empties

Starting with makeup I have the *essence CoverStick in Matt Honey, a creamy, easy to use concealer that covers up well, blends perfectly into my skin and doesn’t leave my under-eye area looking dry and crepey.

I have also been loving the Clarins True Radiance Foundation in Caramel. Offering light to medium, buildable and long lasting coverage, this foundation evens out the skin, but leaves it looking radiant and natural. For imperfections, concealing would probably be needed, but I just love the finish of this!

The last makeup item is the Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara. The bristles are long and spikey, and separate the lashes really well. The formula is quite wet which I am not a huge fan of, but the effect is good enough for me to overlook that. It lengthens the lashes and opens up the eyes, and doesn’t smudge or flake, but isn’t a mission to remove.

Burberry Cat Lashes

I bought a set from Estee Lauder a while back, which included a few products from the Advanced Night Repair range. To be honest I didn’t believe the hype of the serum, but after trying it, I definitely notice a difference in the morning. My skin just looks healthier, plumper and more radiant.

Finally I have the Siberia Fir Scented Candle that I bought from Checkers. The scent is so warm and cosy, and perfect for cooler weather. It burns well, and the scent fills up a room, but is not too overpowering.

February Beauty Favourites Empties

And now for some Empties:

*Lush Skin’s Shangri La– This was too rich for me, so I passed it onto my mom, and she told me that it was the most luxurious feeling face cream she has ever tried, so I would repurchase for her.

Lush Butter Bear– I love the light creamy scent of this shower jelly and how cute it is. Unfortunately the shape was a bit tricky since after a bit of using, it starts to fall apart, but I would probably repurchase.

dermalogica *Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment- I really like this light, but nourishing hand cream, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase do to the price.

Dr Sole 24 Hour Foot Cream- I like this, but I don’t think I would repurchase.

Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Eye Mask- My eyes have been so sensitive recently thanks to my allergies, and the skin around my eyes have not been happy with me rubbing them, so this mask was a great relief. I am not sure if I would repurchase though.

Jasmine & Wood Scented Candle– This candle burnt really well, and although I did like the scent, it is not my favourite, so I don’t think I would repurchase.

And even more Empties:

Lush Ectoplasm Naked Shower Scream– As you can see, I only have remnants of the product, as it is one of Lush’s Naked Products, which means no packaging. I love the scent of this, and how moisturising it is, although I am not sure if I would repurchase the naked version again.

Black Pearl *Face Mousse Cleanser– I really enjoyed this cleanser, and it lasted ages, but for the price, I won’t repurchase.

Island Tribe Anti-Ageing Face Cream– This was way too rich for my face, and I used it on my hands instead, wouldn’t repurchase.

Label M *Brunette Dry Shampoo– I quite liked this dry shampoo, it didn’t leave a white cast, left my hair looking and feeling fresh and didn’t have much of a scent, so I may repurchase after I finish all of the others I have at home.

Elizabeth Arden *Visible Difference Replenishing HydraGel Complex– I love love love this, it is light but hydrating, and even though I used it pretty much every day, it lasted for ages. I would definitely repurchase.

Thanks for reading Ladies!

    Hi Azraa,
Loved the blog post, thank you for sharing! Just wondering why you wouldn’t purchase the Dr Sole 24 hour foot cream again?

      Hi Demi
Thank you for the comment. It is nice, which is why I finished it, but I think there are thicker, more nourishing foot products available. I do like the Foot Butter from this range though!

Will definitely be giving the EA moisturiser a go when I’m finished the Clinique one I’m using. Sounds perfect.

Hi there, is the Clarins True Radiance still available in South Africa? I thought they discontinued this foundation, which is my favourite of all time.

Hi, yes it is. You can find it online on Foschini.
