Today I am sharing my September Beauty Favourites with you! My favourites this month are a good mix of new, old and in-between.
Let’s start with skincare…
The *Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum is amazing! It is light, hydrating, non-greasy, and you only need 1 pump for your entire face. It can be used under moisturiser, or even on its own, which is my preference as the weather warms up. I have read a few other reviews on this product, and everyone seems to love it. If you have dehydrated skin that needs some plumping and hydration, check this out.
Next up for skincare is the Noreva Anti-brown Spot SPF 50+. I have been using this daily, directly over the Vichy Serum. It is light and non-greasy, and doesn’t leave a white mask across your face. It works as a great base for makeup too.
Last of the skincare is *Physicians Formula Argan Oil which won the best Facial Oil in the Allure Best of Beauty 2016. When I saw that a ‘drugstore’ facial oil had won, I was delighted, since it is reasonably priced and easily accessible to most people and not just celebrities! The Argan Wear BB Cream, Blush and Bronzer are already favourites, and now I have added the oil. It is hydrating and absorbs easily, and is great for dry skin. It can also be used on your hair, body and nails, which makes it a great multi-tasker.
Above top to bottom, you can see the consistency of the Erborian BB Cream, Noreva, Vichy and the Physicians Formula Argan Oil.
Next I have an old favourite, the Erborian BB Cream. This was one of the first BB creams I tried, and one of the first available locally. This was before the drugstore options became available. I really wish Erborian products were still available in South Africa, they are the perfect mix of skincare trendsetters, Korea meets France. I think South Africa has progressed so much in the beauty world in the last two years, and Erborian would really take off this time, especially since Asian Skincare trends have taken over the world. This BB Cream offers medium coverage while plumping and evening out the skin. My skin feels hydrated and soft and has a matte velvet finish without being flat.
I have been loving the BareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation to set my under-eye concealer. It really helps to brighten the area without looking too heavy or cakey.
Last, but definitely not least is the most exciting nail launch of the year, *essie Gel Couture! I have already done a full review, so I won’t go into too much detail, but these are the quickest drying polishes I have ever tried, and they are glossy, pigmented and long lasting. Win, win and win!

The bb cream looks like a must have. What shade r u in? My September favourites : Essence gel polish in Grey zone, Dove coconut &jasmine soap and I finally purchased the Benefit Hoola bronzer 🙂 they have a mini one that’s R200 and comes with the brush. Vichy products are amazing. I am using their BB sunscreen spf 50 but it does leave a cast. .I have my eyes on the new spf 50 cream from The Body Shop
I am shade D’ore. I haven’t tried that Dove soap, it sounds amazing! Oh wow, R200, that’s a bargain. I use their tinted BB fluid, but I would highly recommend this one from Norever. I also like the Nivea invisible fluid.
