August Beauty Favourites

Hi Ladies

It is time for August Beauty Favourites, I also have a couple of empties to share with you.

August Beauty Favourites

My first two favourites are the *TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume Reverse Wash Shampoo and Conditioner. So, why Reverse Wash? Conditioner is said to weigh down your hair, especially fine hair. In reverse washing you condition first, and then shampoo. I thought this system was going to leave my thick hair dry and unmanageable, but it was pretty amazing! My hair was soft, sleek and manageable after use. If you have fine hair that often feels weighed down after using conditioner, or if you often have product build up, give this duo a try! It is cheap, and works really well!

Now onto some makeup!

I have recently been loving this Physicians Formula Argan Wear Bronzer to warm my face up a bit. I use a fluffy brush and just lightly apply to the outer areas of my face and below my cheek bones. The scent is pretty strong, but I don’t mind it at all. This had a stunning design on it before I dug in which you can check out here, but luckily the chunky gold is only an over spray, and the shade that is left is all sorts of amazing!

Next up I have the HD Chubby Lip Crayon in Secret, which was only R25! I have already done a full review/praising, so I won’t rehash it all here. Swatched below.

3INA is a new international brand that has landed on our shores, with their first store at Eastgate and another one in Sandton coming next month. I received a *Cream Eyeshadow which is so pigmented and long lasting, that I struggled to remove it even with Micellar Water. These are great to pop onto your lid and blend without too much hassle, but blend quick because once they set, they are set. There are 18 waterproof shades to choose from, perfect for Summer! Below is a blended and unblended swatch.

After receiving the Limited Edition Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Contour & Highlight Duo in Light/Medium and loving it, I had to buy a darker version to try out too! I ended up buying Deep, which came with the Gold Light Highlighter, and it is amazing! It is creamy and glowy, and easy to use. You can check out some swatches of both duos here.

If you haven’t heard by now, Urban Decay has finally graced us with it’s presence in South Africa. And I was lucky enough to receive the *Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup to test out. The word Naked is quite deceiving, since this definitely offers a good amount of coverage, but that coverage feels so light and natural that it feels like you are not wearing anything. The finish is somewhere between matte and dewy, and I love it! This works well on both the dry and oily areas of my face, and lasts relatively long, I think I will be getting a lot of wear out of this during the Summer!. Urban Decay is currently only available at Sandton City, but new stores will hopefully be rolling out soon to the rest of the country. Check them out here to keep up to date on the latest news. But there is some good news, if you have your eye on one of their cult eyeshadow palettes you can buy it online!

Empties

August Beauty Favourites

I had saved this *Nature’s Carnival Body Butter for Winter, since it was so thick and it has now reached its end after doing quite a good job. Although it is superficially thick, I think The Body Shop Body Butter does a better job at actual hydration.

The Sorbet Hand & Nail Cream has been in my bag for a while, and I really like how moisturising it is. My boyfriend isn’t a fan of the scent though.

I also finished the Human + Kind Family Remedy Cream which was a saviour this winter, and I will definitely be repurchasing once I finish the million other hand creams in the queue.

The Bioderma Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel is awesome! It removes makeup and cleanses the skin without leaving it dry! Definitely one to repurchase once my cleanser queue is over!

Same goes for the Nivea Pampering Oil and the Fennel Sugar Scrub. I love both of these affordable products, and I will definitely repurchase!

Lastly, the Origins Clear Improvement Mask which is unfortunately not available in South Africa, really helps to clear up clogged pores.

It is not too bad, the cream eyeshadow is R150. They have stunning highlighters which are R230, blush R170 and lipsticks R150.
