March Beauty Favourites

My goal was to get my March Beauty Favourites up before the middle of April, so I think I achieved that! Today I have a few newbies and a few oldies to share with you.

March Beauty Favourites

The Body Shop *White Musk L’Eau is a fragrance that will brighten any day! It is light and floral and fresh, and gets me into a Spring mood, even though we are moving into Winter.

As you might have read in this post, my skin has not been on it’s best behaviour, in fact, it has been on its worst. This is where this little power bottle from dermalogica comes in. The *Overnight Clearing Gel has significantly improved my breakouts and skin condition. The best part is it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or sensitive as some others I have tried.

REN Instant Firming Beauty Shot Review

The REN *Instant Firming Beauty Shot has been in my stash for a while, but only recently have I been using it daily. I use it after applying my makeup, by dabbing a tiny bit on my dehydration lines and it plumps them up so well that they virtually disappear! The worst culprit for me are the smile lines around my mouth, but this has really helped, and I find my makeup doesn’t settle in the lines as much.

As you can see I have been getting loads of use from the essence Lights of Orient Bronzer. I love that it warms the face without being too orange. I did a full review with swatches, so I won’t be doing swatches in this post.

Next up the Palladio Rice Powder. I have already mentioned this in my Date Night Beauty Edit. It is so light on the skin and doesn’t look cakey at all. It is also quite brightening and doesn’t crease either!

The Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. It has a thin texture, and dries down pretty matte without being drying on the lips. It does transfer slightly, but nothing major and still lasts really long without flaking.

I received the essence *Pencil Sharpener in the Advent Box and didn’t think much of it, until I couldn’t find my other sharpener and gave it a go on one of my Urban Decay eye pencils. Now, the Urban Decay pencils have a hard plastic outer edge, the same as MAC, and most sharpeners don’t manage and end up chipping away at the plastic. But this one did a great job, so definitely a keeper!

Lastly, the Garnier BB Eye Roll-On has been my go-to under-eye concealer. It is so lightweight but still does a good job brightening the under-eye area. I have been using this without a corrector, just roll it on, pat it in and set with a light dusting of the Palladio Rice Powder. I can’t say that it completely disguises my dark under-eye circles, but no product I have tried has ever done that. But it does a good enough job without being cakey or creasy or heavy or drying. Below you can see the swatch blended on the right, and not blended on the left.

I am trying the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser and Gel Cream for three weeks now – still waiting to see a difference 🙁

The REN Beauty Shot sounds good.

It takes quite a while for skincare to take effect. I got good results from the Gel Cream 🙂

Yip, it is, I don’t know why I wasn’t using it as much before.
