New Year, New Me, Trying to be on time! I have already posted my January Beauty Haul, Go ME! And now it is time for me to share my January Beauty Favourites as well as a few empties!
First up, I need to mention these two non-beauty products. Allerway and Flonase! I have been struggling with hayfever for a few months now, and it was unbearable, it also made me look sickly and made my dark circles a million times worse. I was recommended these products by Riana from The New You, and it has made such a difference! I haven’t sneezed or had any other uncomfortable symptoms since I started using them, and I don’t constantly look sick. I use two sprays of Flonase every morning, and half a tablet of Allerway. I started with one tablet of Allerway, as that was recommended, but one of the side-effects is Somnolence, a lesser known word for drowsiness which I had to google by the way. Since I don’t take medication often, I am quite sensitive to most, which is why this caused drowsiness in me. But I find that half a tablet does the same job. It isn’t as strong as other antihistamines, and can be used every day.
And now for the actual beauty part!
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
The Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Angelfish is lovely to highlight the inner corner of my eyes.
The *Clarins Lipliner Pencil in Roseberry is such a lovely shade to add some colour to my lips without feeling uncomfortable or drying. It pairs incredibly well under a nude liquid lipstick to give that extra bit of colour.
The HD Matte Lipstick in Royal Me is a lovely terracotta shade that is long lasting and pigmented without being drying.
I had actually forgotten how much I loved the Top Shop Glow Pot in Polished. It is a cream highlighter that I pat on with my fingertips. It literally melts into my skin giving the most subtle gorgeous glow. I love that it can also be built up for a more intense highlight!
Lastly, the Catrice Lash Extension Mascara is great if you want long, clump free lashes. It does add a slight curl, but not too much. Catrice is one of my favourite brands for budget mascara picks!
Lastly, we have some empties:
The *Skoon Retinin Minipot is a non-reactive retinol product that didn’t irritate my skin. It isn’t something I would repurchase though, as I feel it was too mild for me. Perhaps it would be best for first time retinol users.
The Simple Facial Wipes were pretty dry and a bit too abrasive for my liking.
The Body Shop Drops of Light Foam Wash did a good job cleansing the skin, although I did find that it could be too harsh and drying at times.
Trichotin Hair Regenesis is literally my hair saviour! It has reduced my hair loss, my overall hair condition just feels better, and I have less breakage too. My skin is also looking pretty clear and glowy, which is one of the amazing side-effects. Definitely something I will be repurchasing.
I feel like I literally used this Colab Dry Shampoo twice before it was empty! The scent was okay, I like that it didn’t leave any white residue, but the can was empty way too soon!

I used to have TopShop Polished and loved the shade so much. Ended up giving it away sadly as I couldn’t get the formula to work on my skin. Now I regret. xxx
