Christmas is around the corner, so I thought I would put together a little gift guide. Although I don’t celebrate Christmas, any excuse for specials and gift sets is good enough for me!
I have split the guide into R200 and under, under R500 and over R500. There are mostly makeup and skincare products, but there are a couple of other things thrown in. All these items are products I either have and love or would love to have.
Let’s start with the under R200 gift guide:
Bourjois The Alluring Black Kit (R134.95 from Clicks). This kit includes a Push Up Glamour Mascara as well as a Lash Machine. Do you know someone who loves VAVA volume lashes? Then this is the perfect gift! If this kit doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are other awesome specials available on the website here.
MrP Lace Up Heel (R179.99 from MrP). Lace up shoes are all the rage at the moment, and MrP has all you need! There are heels and flats for all occasions! I bought these last week, and I love them! You can find them online here or in store. Trendy fashion at budget prices.
The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain (R130 from The Body Shop). This would make a perfect stocking filler, not only is the packaging pretty, but cheek and lip stains are awesome for summer for that natural flushed look. I missed the limited edition Lip and Cheek Stain from last year’s Christmas collection, so I definitely have this on my list!
Skoon Skin Make it Yours Trial Pack (R100 from Skoon Skin). I received this a while back, and I love it! It comes packaged in a pretty bag, and although the products are sample sizes they have lasted me about a month, and I still have more than half of each product left. This would make a great gift, it’s natural, local and the products work! You can find more information on the pack I received here, also check out the Skoon Skin website here. This is a really great budget buy for yourself or a loved one.
Landon Tyler Chesil Beach Candle Trio (R179 from Clicks). Three scented candles for R179, is that even possible? I love scented candles, but I do find most of them are ridiculously over-priced! Enter Landon Tyler, the product range includes candles and diffusers at an affordable price. Although I haven’t gotten a chance to smell these yet or to view the whole range, I definitely have my eye on a couple of products. There is a Pink Cashmere Three Wick Candle for R199 which has my name on it. Hint Hint!
The Body Shop Seasonal Body Butter Trio (R170 from The Body Shop). This gift set contains 50ml body butters from the limited edition Christmas Range, Glazed Apple, Frosted Plum and Frosted Cranberry. You can read more about The Body Shop Christmas Collection here.
Oh So Heavenly, Oh So Sweet Deluxe Box (R99.95 from Clicks). This is one of my favourite scents from Oh So Heavenly. This set includes a sweet spiral soap bar, moisturising body wash cream, pro-health body lotion, 24 hour moisture hand and nail cream and a pink emery board. Nothing beats Oh So Heavenly in affordable indulgence. Selected gifts sets are also on a buy 3, pay for 2 special until the 24 December!
Chocolate Frey, Prestige Finest Assorted Pralines (R159.99 from Makro, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Spar and OK). Who wouldn’t love some melt in your mouth pralines for Christmas? This is a perfect gift for anyone, because who doesn’t love chocolate! You can also get these for your Christmas party, your guests will definitely be impressed if you pull these out after dessert!
From Sorbet with Love Nail Polish Set (R200 from Clicks or Sorbet stores). A selection of 12 Sorbet nail polishes for only R200. This is such a great gift. You could even break up the set and give individual polishes as stocking fillers. There are also smaller sets with 3 or 4 polishes for less than R100, Sorbet really has made gifting easy and affordable! I wouldn’t mind getting one of these, a girl can never have enough nail polish, right…
Essence Merry Berry Trend Edition (From R38.95 from Clicks and Dischem). Essence Merry Berry is the perfect Christmas Collection. Buy one, buy all, this is a must have, but be quick it is limited edition and is selling out fast. Perfect as stocking fillers, or buy a couple of products from the collection and arrange it in a pretty box or basket, and there you have a stunning and unique but affordable gift set. You can read more about this collection here.
