April Beauty Favourites + Empties

Wednesday, 9 May 2018

Ladies, today I would like to share my April Beauty Favourites with you all, as well as some Empties. Aside from one product, all of my favourites are oldies. I love rediscovering favourites, and I always end up wondering to myself why I had stopped using them!

April Beauty Favourites

First up, we have the Avene Soothing Moisture Mask, which is an all-year must have for me, but especially in the colder months. Although this can be used for ten minutes and then wiped off, I prefer to apply it and leave it on overnight. It leaves my skin looking plump and supple and feeling comfortable and hydrated.

The *Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara with its tiny plastic wand manages to curl my lashes and add volume, without clumping, smudging or flaking.

Swatches from Top-Bottom:

My dear Catrice Made to Stay Inside Eye Kohl Kajal is almost finished, and I will definitely be repurchasing it. This does not budge, and it doesn’t irritate my eyes, and with most other liners it is either one or the other. It also comes with a little sharpener which is amazing, because the one downfall I have with retractable liners is that the tip gets blunt.

Next up I have the Smashbox Peony Blush, a subtle muted pink shade. For some reason it looks a bit shimmery in this swatch, which it absolutely isn’t. It gives a lovely blush to my cheeks that looks so healthy and natural.

Lastly I have the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai. I love the formula, the shade and the longevity of this lipstick. I featured a few other Bite Beauty products in this post.

Now for some Empties:

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Body Butter– I love the scent and how moisturising it is. If it is part of this year’s Christmas Collection I will definitely buy it again.

Balm Balm Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm- I did enjoy this, but I don’t see myself buying it again, as there are so many other balm cleansers out there.

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion and Yoghurt– These are both great, but I prefer the Nourishing Skin Relief Lotion that I finished last month.

Human + Kind Family Remedy Cream- This is a product that I will never be without, especially in Winter. It works so well on my dry hands!

Heart & Home Votive Candle- I really love Heart & Home candles, but I prefer the ones that come in a jar with a lid to keep the scent in, and the dust out. I just bought a rose one, which you can check out here.

  12. So interesting to hear you got on well with the Revlon mascara. I just couldn’t warm to it. I think it’s because the wand is so small but it just didn’t do much for my lashes. Maybe I should give it another go!
