It seems as if most of my reviews recently have been skincare focused, so I thought it was about time I did a good old makeup review! I have been lucky enough to have gotten quite a few nice sized Bite Beauty samples along the way when ordering from Sephora, as well as in my Play Boxes, Sephora Favorites Sets, and of course my Birthday Gift which are all perfect for a quick brand overview.
BITE BEAUTY WAS FOUNDED ON A SIMPLE PREMISE. WHAT YOU PUT ON YOUR LIPS SHOULD BE AS GOOD AS WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR MOUTH.
I really like that philosophy, as I cannot even imagine how much of our lip products we end up consuming! Bite Beauty products are clean, pure, unprocessed and safe, and do not include parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. They are also cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified. They specialise in lip products, with everything from scrubs, masks, balms, as well as lip colours, but their Multistick can also be used as a cream blush or eyeshadow.
Agave Lip Balm- This nourishing balm made with natural agave nectar is so hydrating without being sticky. It is quite solid, but spreads easily once applied and warmed up.
Agave Sugar Lip Scrub- I usually use a face cloth to lightly exfoliate my lips, but I really enjoyed this. It is gentle but still effective, with both physical (raw brown sugar) and chemical (pineapple enzymes) exfoliants. It also has natural oils so lips aren’t left feeling dry and stripped, but they are definitely smooth and soft! This smells good enough to eat!
Agave Lip Mask- How cute is the little lip blister pack with three of the variants? Champagne is a Rose Gold Pearl, Natural is Clear and Smashed is a Sheer Candy Apple Red. I am loving this mask overnight, or during the day as a lip balm. It isn’t too thick and actually feels and looks like a light glossy lip balm with intense hydration. It also adds a bit of shine, and colour in some cases. It contains lanolin and organic agave nectar, and this is one I definitely want to repurchase.
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai- A Mauve Brown lipstick that is comfortable to wear but still intensely pigmented.
Multistick in Brioche- A Rich Teracotta shade that can be used on lips, cheeks or eyes. It has a lightweight, powder finish, which makes it super long lasting, but it also can be a bit drying on the lips if not properly prepped.
Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace- This Dusty Mauve lip crayon is highly pigmented, and although it has a matte finish it is hydrating and comfortable to wear.
Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip in Chutney- A Rich Mauve liquid lipstick that feels creamy and hydrating but packs some serious pigment. It has a satin finish so it isn’t as long lasting as some other liquid lipsticks, but it feels very comfortable on the lips.
Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb- A Beige Nude with the same comfortable formula as Chai, but unfortunately this shade is just too light for me. I do like wearing it over a bright lip liner though, as well as as a base for liquid lipsticks.
My favourite treatment product is the lip mask in Smashed. I would love to know how these compare to the Laneige Lip Masks, which I actually think I have a sample of, so I better get testing. Colour wise I love the lipstick in Chai and the multistick in Brioche, I just love the shades and how comfortable they are. Overall I am really impressed by this brand!
I really do enjoy these mini sized products, as I hardly ever get through a whole lipstick, actually I am not sure that I ever have! I have so many sample/travel size products from different brands that I really need to start using. Would you like to see similiar posts for other brands using mini sizes?
