A Too Faced Review
Wednesday, 18 Jul 2018
I realise I have collected way too many samples from the various Sephora Play Boxes, etc. so I am making a concerted effort to finish them, and in some cases review them. While sorting through everything I found a few good sized samples from Too Faced, and so here is my Too Faced Review. I did a similiar review of Bite Beauty which you can check out here.
Let’s start with the most hyped product from Too Faced, the Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. I totally get the hype now, my skin looks hydrated, perky and more awake when I use this. This is definitely one I would like to get a full size of.
The Hangover Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray is also pretty impressive. It gives the same well rested, hydrated and radiant look, but it also sets makeup well.
Another primer I tried is the Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Skin Primer. It definitely has a cooling effect which would be lovely in Summer. It also has a slight tint which gives skin a healthy look. It does extend wear time, but I definitely prefer the effect of the Hangover one.
Another hyped up product is the Better Than Sex Mascara. I can’t decide on this. Sometimes it coats my lashes and makes them look amazing, long, curly, full and seperated, but other times it just clumps them all together and makes them look like a spidery mess. I like the bristles of the brush, although I do prefer plastic spoolies. Also, the shape does sometimes mess my eyelids. The formula is quite thick, and somewhere in between dry and runny.
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
The Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake doesn’t give much colour, but it is hydrating, plumping and glossy. I am not too much of a fan of plumping lip products, so this isn’t one I would use often. However, the tingling of the plumping action isn’t as bad as a few others I have tried.
The Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl has a bit more of a tint, but not much. Again, not one I would use often.
The Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Sell Out is so pigmented, and the formula is comfortable and not flaky. I love the warm rosy brown shade too! I definitely need to look into more shades of this!
The Chocolate Soleil Medium/Deep Matte Bronzer is exactly as described, matte and smells of chocolate. I really like this for warming my face, and it can be used for contouring too.
