Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic found in the Melaleuca Alternifolia leaves which are native to Australia. The wonders of tea tree oil are never ending; mosquito bites, minor cuts, burns, and the list goes on… Another one of the uses of Tea Tree Oil is in skincare, it is known to reduce pimples, cleanse the skin and reduce inflammation. So, today I would like to introduce you to the NEW Thursday Plantation Acne Range. The Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Acne Range is effective, but gentle on the skin, and is perfect for all skin types, and all ages.
The new *range consists of a Foaming Face Wash, a Witch Hazel Toner, a Face Cream, and the Blemish Gel, which isn’t new, but fits in perfectly with this range.
The Tea Tree Face Wash Foam is soap free, and doesn’t dry the skin, but still cleanses well. It is also soothing, thanks to the calming properties of chamomile.
The Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Toner ensures all impurities have been removed, and also helps to tighten pores. Witch Hazel is a natural astringent with anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a powerful toner, and combined with Tea Tree Oil, you have a winner for acne prone skin.
The Tea Tree Face Cream is nourishing and hydrating, and although it contains blemish busting Tea Tree Oil, it also helps to soothe the skin. It works well as a day or night cream, as it absorbs well but still leaves the skin feeling comfortable.
Lastly, the Tea Tree Blemish Gel is a little tube of wonder! My biggest issue with spot treatments is how it dries the pimple, and the skin around it, to a point where it looks gross and crusty. Luckily, this does the job by reducing the pimple, and reducing the blemish that is usually left behind, while still being gentle on the skin.
There are two things about this range that stand out for me. Firstly, it does not contain Benzoyl Peroxide, as most acne ranges do, which can be drying and irritating, especially on young skin. Secondly, it is affordable, with the most expensive product being R220.
Have you tried Tea Tree Oil for acne?

got to love tea tree oil!
The spot treatment sounds fab! I hate it when spot treatments leave the surrounding skin all dry and flaky! x
