Everyone loves a nude lip, whether glossy, matte or somewhere in between. So, today I am sharing a Nude Lip Edit with you.
Swatches Below from Top-Bottom:
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Kristen is quite pigmented and long lasting for a lip gloss. It is a perfect nude for my lips, and fades to a wearable stain.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Pretty Thing is meant to be a muted rose shade, but on me it looks like a clear gloss, which is pretty disappointing. I like that it isn’t sticky, but I wish there was some sort of colour to it. It has a fresh minty scent, which is nice too.
I expected the NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound to have a more satin/velvet finish, but it is actually quite glossy. It is a really pretty rosy mauve leaning toward the cooler side. It isn’t very pigmented unfortunately, and should be described more as a lip gloss than a hybrid lipgloss/lipstick.
The Tarteist Matte Lip Paint in Honey is more on the warm nude side as you can see in the swatches. It dries down mostly matte, but not flaky, and is actually quite comfortable.
Lastly, I have the Too Faced Melted Matte in Queen B, a soft mauve. This is the most matte of the bunch, which also makes it the most long lasting. The formula is quite thin, so it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips, it also doesn’t crack. It does settle into the lips a bit, but not too much.
Below are the same swatches after a few minutes, and as you can see Queen B is completely matte, and Honey is getting there.

Thought you might like that one Reonette 🙂 It is so pretty!
I’ve never tried any of those too faced melted liquid lipsticks but now I think I need to try it! Such a lovely color.

It is really pretty, and surprisingly so comfortable considering how matte it is! I definitely want to try a few more shades!
These all look so beautiful! I love my nude lippies, but if my husband sees me getting another nude he’s going to cry – I have so many!

Hahaha you can never have enough. That’s my philosophy. Warm and cool, pink and brown, they are never the same. 😉
