Today I am sharing a few of my favourite skincare picks for Radiant, Glowing Skin, because who doesn’t want that! The products below do an amazing job at banishing dull, lackluster skin, brightening the skin to give a lit from within glow and increasing overall radiance.
Starting with the Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel which has a yummy peach scent and contains a trio of acids, glycolic, citric and salicylic to gently exfoliate the skin daily. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry after use as gel cleansers sometimes do. My skin feels clean but not stripped, and I like knowing that there is some light chemical exfoliation happening every time I cleanse, which will definitely get rid of dull skin.
The Anti-Aging Buffing Beads also from Peter Thomas Roth give both a physical and chemical exfoliation. I am a bit weary when it comes to physical exfoliation as it can go too far, very quickly. But luckily, this one contains jojoba beads which are gentle and do not scratch at the skin, and actually feel more gel like, similiar to a gommage peel. It also contains glycolic and salicylic acids to exfoliate at a chemical level. This all may feel sound quite intense, but thanks to the inclusion of aloe vera, skin is left looking brighter and more refined, but not irritated.
What is a radiant skincare edit without a mask? The last product I have from Peter Thomas Roth is the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer. What a mouthful! When I first tried this I expected a tingle, I expected to feel it working, but unfortunately I didn’t feel much, but I kept at it. I still don’t feel much, but my skin is definitely smoother, more refined, brighter and more radiant after use. This mask uses physical, chemical and enzymatic exfoliation, alumininium oxide crystals gives skin a polish, alpha hydroxy acid banishes dull skin and pumpkin enzymes exfoliate.
Before trying the ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer I hadn’t heard of a moisturiser that exfoliates and hydrates. When I think of exfoliation, I usually think of a once or twice a week treatment to revive dull skin and allow products to penetrate better. But why not do it everyday in a gentle way. That is exactly what this does, it contains lactic and glycolic acid, as well as fruit enzymes to exfoliate and renew the skin all day. It also contains a cactus extract to soothe and comfort the skin, so don’t worry about irritation. This moisturiser definitely brings out the glow!
Serums are the most important part of my skincare routine since it is where all the magic happens. Serums are applied before your moisturiser and they basically do all of the hard work. A new serum I have been trying is the *Avene D-Pigment Brightening Serum. Avene is such an underrated affordable brand, and their Soothing Moisture Mask and Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream are staples in my routine. Their D-Pigment Range aims to reduce dark marks, brighten and even out the skin tone while soothing the skin thanks to the famous Thermal Spring Water. This serum is a new addition to the range, it feels light and silky, and doesn’t pill. It works on the surface to brighten using stabilised vitamin c, and at a deeper level thanks to plant extracts to combat dark spots and fight free radicals. I have also been using the Avene Dark Spot Corrector which I will be featuring soon, but you can read my first impressions here.
I am a huge fan of overnight treatments, because it requires minimal effort on my part. The REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate works while you sleep to exfoliate and reveal luminous skin by morning. My skin looks clearer, smoother and more refined and it definitely feels softer too. The first few applications tingled, but my skin got used to it after a while. The texture is quite runny, but it sinks in nicely and doesn’t leave any residue on the skin. The scent is not the greatest, and is similiar to most of the products in the REN Radiance Range. The Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is another one of my favourites from the range, and one I highly recommend.
