The Nude Beauty Edit

You may have noticed I have been doing quite a few Beauty Edit Posts on the blog recently. I am really enjoying being able to pick new products from my stash to use and feature based on a certain theme or colour code. Today, I will be sharing a Nude Beauty Edit with you.

Nude Beauty Edit

When I say nude I don’t mean fresh and bare faced, but more of a neutral toned made up look. Think rusty blushing cheeks, nude lips, nude nails and of course a glowing highlight.

NYX Stockholm

For the face I started with the Bobbi Brown CC Cream in Blushed Nude. As you can see on the left in the above photo, this gives the skin absolutely no tint. The purpose of this is to illuminate, blur and of course protect skin from the sun, thanks to its spf 35. I like using this on its own to even out the skin when I don’t want anything else on my face, or as a primer under foundation when I want more coverage.

I have a love, hate relationship with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I love the shades, but the formula feels a bit drying after a while. Above is the shade Stockholm, which to me felt like a better formula than the other shades I have tried.

Next up I have the powder products from Top – Bottom

OFRA You Glow Girl Highlighter is amazing! It is finely milled and buttery, and has no glittery chunks! It is quite pigmented, so I prefer to use a fan brush to apply it, and then blend blend blend.

Next I have the Maybelline Facestudio Blush in Coral Fever which I am convinced is a dupe for NARS Orgasm, but I will need to do a proper comparison to be sure. It is a stunning coral with a slight shimmer that brightens the cheeks without emphasising pores or imperfections.

Lastly, the Catrice Contourious Sculpting Powder Palette in Almond Architect. I love the blush and highlighter, but I found the bronzer too warm and orange. The highlighter is matte, soft and blends really well, and reminds me of the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder. The blush is a perfect matte peachy coral that gives cheeks just enough colour to brighten the face.

On my nails I have a polish from Catrice in Discreet which is a stunning nude shade. Some nude nail shades make my hands look old and washed out, but I quite like this one.

Thanks for your suggestions Reonette, a Mauve one sounds great! I do have a berry one on the way for Autumn, that may have some Mauve to it. Definitely need to see if I can gather up enough peach stuff. Thanks!
