I have been meaning to get this post on the New Garnier Product Launches out for quite a while, but work has been pretty crazy recently. Luckily that means I have been able to try most of the products for a good amount of time before sharing my thoughts. There are quite a few new products, as well as some reformulations.
Firstly, the reformulated Garnier Skin Active BB Cream. Both the Original and Combination to Oily versions have been reformulated. I have been using the Combination to Oily version since I bought it when it launched a few years ago, and it really is one of my favourites. It is so light, but still offers coverage. The only downside of the old tube was that the product leaked out, because it is so runny. The reformulated one has a better tube design, so the leakage has mostly decreased. I do find the colour of the new one to be slightly lighter and cooler toned, but nothing noticeable. I find the Original BB to be too rich for me, but it would work well on drier skin types.
Next up is the Skin Active Pure Active range that includes a moisturiser and a 3 in 1 wash, scrub and mask. At first I thought the moisturiser was a spot treatment, but it turns out, it is not. I used this a few times when my skin was Throwing A Tantrum and I think it is best suited for acne prone skin, not skin with a few annoying breakouts. I like that it doesn’t dry the skin out, which is a huge issue I have with most acne products. I have been using the 3 in 1 every single day in the shower and I love it! It isn’t too gritty, it removes dirt and makeup and helps unclog pores. If my skin feels like it needs something extra I just leave it on for a few minutes while I am showering. If you are looking for a new face wash that can do more than just wash your face, this is definitely one to consider!
Moving onto haircare. My hair is pretty much black, so most hair colours will only show up when I am out in the sun. This one however gives my hair such dimension. I used it last week and although I have a very sensitive irritable scalp, I hardly experienced any burning or tingling. There was one area that felt a bit sensitive for a few minutes, but it didn’t last long. And it covered greys too, luckily I only have about 4 grey hairs (being 30 I am quite proud of that), but when I put my hair up they were visible, so thankfully this covered them up. There is also a new blonde hair colour range.
I have a sensitive scalp, it gets dry and itchy, which makes me fiddle with it, which makes it worse. So when I saw The Delicate Soother I figured this is just what my hair needs. Usually when I wash my hair, 1 day later my scalp starts getting irritated. With this, it was a good 3 days before I had any irritation. I also love how creamy it is, and it leaves my hair looking and feeling soft. There is also a new Avocado & Shea Butter Range for intense moisturising.
Lastly, deodorant. A necessity in my opinion. I don’t know how much I can say about it, except it smells fresh and keeps me dry. There is also a men’s thermic range which was passed onto my boyfriend before I took these photos.
Do you see any New Launches that catch your eye? There is another new Garnier product that is super exciting and coming soon, and I think one of the best skincare launches of the year so far!
