As most of you know, March was my Birthday Month, the big 3-0! I was spoilt by myself and others, so today I am here to share my March Beauty Haul and Birthday Gifts with you. My biggest spoil though was a Safari Horse Ride experience with my boyfriend, and then a picnic after, and a Thai massage after that. It was amazing to see a giraffe and zebra so close from atop a horse, and to be honest I prefer experiences to things any day!
I had created a Birthday Wishlist to make it easier for everyone, and out of the seventeen items on my wishlist, I received eight which is pretty amazing I think! Let’s start with makeup and move onto skincare, shall we?
MAC had a sale on their old limited edition items last month, so I placed an order for two lip kits. Unfortunately, their website is rubbish, and doesn’t update stock, so a few days after ordering and paying I get an email to say the items I bought are out of stock so I will be getting a refund. This is the second time this has happened to me, and I know I am not the only one, needless to say I went on a little rant. So, MAC said sorry in the nicest way by sending me the Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder and Sweet Nude Patentpolish Set from the Nutcracker Collection.
I also bought two of the scented Fix + from the Work It Out Collection, Lavender and Rose, and my boyfriend bought me the Strobe Cream in Gold Light, and it is amazing!
You might have seen my post on the gorgeous Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighters already, if not go and check it out! They are amazing, and there are two up for grabs!
My best friend travelled to the US recently, and brought me back some goodies. She also came to meet me for brunch at Hyde Park in slippers! Slippers! But all was forgiven when she gave me my makeup! This Makeup Forever Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden has been on my wishlist for ages after reading about it on Jasmine Talks Beauty, and now it is mine, thanks to her, slippers and all! I bought this metal eyelash comb from Sephora, and I can’t wait to try the Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip.
She also bought me the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. I bought two more NYX Lip Lingerie from Clicks, in Bedtime Flirt and Ruffle Trim.
This essence Lights of Orient Trend Edition is gorgeous! I picked it up at Clicks a while ago, and you might still get lucky and find it.
I am so glad Ciate is back in SA, and with a bigger range, not the random nail polish at Clicks. I have heard great things about their Liquid Velvet Matte Lipsticks and Makeup Melt.
This was quite a daring purchase, The Urban Decay Vice Junkie Lipstick Palette as most of these colours are quite out there. But I figured being able to mix shades would make them all wearable, right?
So, dark under-eye circles are the bane of my existence, which is why this was on my list. My boyfriend happily obliged, and bought this for me.
Another item from my Wishlist, is the stunning GALifornia Blush from Benefit, thanks to Nisa from Belle BluSHH! When online friends became real friends.
I popped in at Foschini a while back, and stumbled out with some new Smashbox products.
My March Sephora Play Box, the Glam Glow Moisturiser and Josie Maran Balm are my favourites.
So, I treated myself to some goodies from The Body Shop, thanks to my R50 birthday voucher. The Drops of Light range has also just launched, so I will be going there soon to add the essence, peel and cream to my collection!
When I saw this sheet mask at Dischem I was intrigued. A bubbling sheet mask, what does that even feel like?
My friend, future sister in law and skincare guru Yasmin from Shades of Mink and her husband (my boyfriends brother) went on holiday and brought me an amazing present! A collection of masks, and I can’t wait to try them all!
I bought a couple of goodies from Skin Creamery a while back, and since then they have launched two new products, so I asked my dad to get them for me.
Lastly my Caudalie Birthday Gift from Sephora and a Murad Skincare Set also from Sephora.
Thanks for reading ladies!
