Happy New Year Ladies
I hope you all had a lovely festive season!
This was the first December/January in four years that we spent at home in South Africa, and it was pretty fun. We did quite a few activities, Pilanesburg Game Reserve, Lory Park Zoo and Braai Braai Braai. Although it wasn’t as exciting as holidaying overseas, we spent a lot of quality time together in and around Joburg which was really nice.
Let’s start with December Favourites!
Makeup Revolution Iconic Blush, Bronze and Brighten in Flush: This is a really great all in one face palette. All three shades give a lovely flushed look without looking too made-up and heavy. I only just started using this in December, and it has already stolen my heart. I am really loving Makeup Revolution products!
NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Rose Petal: This is an amazing cream blush, I have three shades of these cream blushes, they are just that good! Rose Petal is one of those universal shades that I think would flatter each and every skin tone! If Rose Petal is not for you, the shade range is pretty good, and you are bound to find a shade to suit you. You can read a more detailed review here.
Essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off! Another great product from Essence, I really love this liquid lipstick. It has great colour payoff, and is relatively long lasting. There are quite a few shades to choose from too. I also only started using this product in December along with another shade and believe me you need to get your hands on one or three. I will be giving away an Essence Hamper soon, and Show Off! will be included!
Garnier BB Cream Eye Roll-On Medium: This roll-on is amazing! It instantly cools and brightens the under-eye area, and it replaced my corrector and concealer on most days. I used concealer on top of this for nights when I wanted a bit more coverage. A very well spent R75!
*Pureology Smooth Perfection Intense Smoothing Cream: I received this Smoothing Cream a while ago, and it really is a life saver! It keeps my hair frizz free and soft and smooth. It helps with flyaways too. It smells like something really nice, that I can’t really put my finger on. A little goes a really long way with this powerful cream!
Catrice Lash and Brow Designer: Keep your lashes and brows moisturised and in place with this product! I like to use it on brows, it holds all those rogue hairs in place, without any crunchiness. I also like to use it on curled lashes, to hold them in place when I am not in the mood for the drama of mascara!
And now for some Empties!
Nature’s Edition Vanilla Hand and Nail Cream: This was in one of my handbags for the longest time! It is affordable, and quite a large size. It is pretty moisturising too.
Oh So Heavenly Berry Goodness: This is an amazing affordable hand cream. It is so nourishing and moisturising. You can read my full review here.
*Skoon Moisture Gel: Oh this brand makes my heart flutter! Every product I have tried from Skoon has exceeded expectations. This gel moisturiser is light but moisturising, and perfect for these blistering hot summer days we are currently experiencing. You can read more about my Skoon first impressions here.
*Nature’s Carnival African Sun Triple Moisture Body Cream: My heart cried a little when I had to cut open this tube and scrape the last bit of goodness out. I really love this moisturiser, I bought two more in different scents to try out! I even featured it in my November Favourites here.
Creightons Vanilla and Macadamia Cocoon Shower Burst: This sweet smelling shower gel really makes me feel like dessert. Creightons is another awesome affordable brand!

Yip they are really good quality and affordable. The lash designer is definitely worth it if you need to keep your brows in place without tinting them. Happy 2016 to you too!
