I ran a little poll on Instagram to see which Christmas Gift Guide I should publish next, and Gift Sets, Makeup and Fragrance come out on top. So, here I am with a roundup of a few lovely gift sets, which include both makeup and fragrances, so win-win!
Gift sets are a lovely way to try out a few top picks from a brand, or to try out a few minis before buying the full size.
First up I have this Glow Baby Glow set from Glow Recipe, which contains the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (30ml) and the Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask (30ml), a pretty impressive overnight mask duo for smooth, radiant skin by morning. Although this set isn’t available anymore, you can make your own kit here for $29, you can also find Glow Recipe products locally in South Africa here.
Next up I have this Magnolia Luxurious Gift Set from *Bramley. It contains Tissue Oil, Hand & Nail Cream and Hand Wash, and they all smell divine. The Tissue Oil is ultra-hydrating without being greasy, and the Hand & Nail Cream is a treat after all of the sanitizing! This set is R34,99 and is available at Pep Stores.
Aaaahh Nuxe Gift Sets, I cannot get enough! Every single year without fail, I buy myself the gift set that includes the candle. But, this year there were two gifts sets with two DIFFERENT candles, what is a girl to do! I ended up buying the Nuxe Huile Prodigiuese Florale Gift Set, which includes a 100ml Florale Scented Shower Gel and a 70g Prodigieuse Florale Candle, which are both exclusive to this gift set, as well as a 100ml Huile Prodigieuse Florale Dry Oil and a 40ml Creme Prodigieuse Boost Gel Cream. I reviewed the Florale Dry Oil here, and in that post I mention the need for a candle!
Nuxe then sent over the Huile Prodigieuse Prodigiously Iconic Culte *Set which contains a 30ml Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream, a 100ml Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil, the Reve de Miel Honey Lip Balm and the 70g Prodigieuse Candle, again, the candle is only available in the gift set. I now have both candles, and my life is complete.
These gift sets are such great value, as the price of the products included are way more than the price of the gift set. But, the best part for me are the candles, I really wish the Nuxe Candles were available to buy individually. I also did a little poll on Instagram on whether I should buy the Nuxe Prodigieux Parfum Gift Set, and my enabler audience said yes, so I bought myself the perfume set. It has the most incredible scent, I have really not smelt anything like it before. If you are looking for a new scent, please go check it out in store.
The Sephora Favorites sets are one of my absolute favourite ways to try new products. Unfortunately this one isn’t available anymore, but they have a bunch of new ones. I love mini products, I hardly ever finish full size makeup products, so minis are the best. These sets would make greats gifts for anyone, whether they are just getting into makeup and skincare, or if they are avid beauty fans. This set has the Hourglass Setting Powder which I love, the YSL Blur Primer, lippies from Pat McGrath, Tom Ford and Giorgio Armani, as well as the Diorshow Mascara, these are the best of the best when it comes to luxury beauty!
Talking about luxury, Diptyque is the ultimate in luxury, and this gift set is swoon worthy. My husband bought this for me on our honeymoon, speaking of which, it is our one year anniversary on Monday! Do Son is a beautiful floral fragrance, with my favourite notes, tuberose, orange blossom and jasmine, I don’t think you can get more floral than that! The set includes an EDT, Shower Oil, Solid Perfume and a Perfumed Sticker. You can find Diptyque at Skins Cosmetics, they have some really nice gift sets ranging from R940 upwards. I also featured a Diptyque Candle in my Home Fragrance Gift Guide.
Four down, three more Christmas Gift Guide posts to go! See anything you like? I will have the fragrance, makeup and bath & body ones up next week.
