Shop My Sephora Lash Gadget Stash!

Hi Ladies

I haven’t done one of these posts in a while! I found that I wasn’t actually using as many new products as when I was doing these posts. So, that is as good an excuse as ever to use new products, and review them!

Today I have some lash gadgets from Sephora. I bought the Mini Heated Eyelash Curler and Lash Amplifier in Malaysia last year. They have the coolest Sephora building ever in Bukit Bintang, have a look at some images here. My boyfriend and I went to Kuala Lumpur over New Year’s Eve, and it was really fun. We stayed at the Istana Hotel in Bukit Bintang. I would highly recommend the hotel and the area. You can have a look at my Travel Diaries here, although it isn’t updated with our last trip, but it does feature Thailand and Singapore. The Upside Down Mascara was a gift from my boyfriend a while ago, yay for me!

Let’s start with the Eyelash Curler. This is a tiny curler, and it doesn’t have a clamper. It works by pushing it against the bottom of your lashes, and bending upwards, kind of like how you would apply mascara. I am loving this, it is so easy to use and not bulky at all. My other heated eyelash is really bulky, and I never take it on travels, but this is perfect! It takes a AAA battery, and comes with a protective lid too, perfect for travelling. It heats up quite quickly and to a good temperature too. The only thing I can fault is there is no covering over the heating element, so if you use this very often, it might not be great for your lashes. You can see it in the picture below. I have used this a couple of times though, and I have had no issues. I can’t remember the exact price of this, I think it was about R220, but it is definitely worth it!

Next up, the  Lash Amplifier, this is supposed to protect your eye makeup while loading your lashes with mascara. I haven’t exactly used it like it should be used, I use it as a lash comb to separate and lift my lashes after applying mascara. I haven’t tried it the proper way, I probably should! It works really well as a lash comb though.

And, I have saved the best for last, the Upside Down Mascara. My boyfriend bought this for me a while ago, and I am only using it now! You can achieve three looks with this mascara and its unique two wands. I won’t go into detail, since you can see the picture below, but all I can say is I love it! I like to use it for look two and three, which is length and curl, and lower lash definition. I find that the first look is a bit too clumpy for my liking. But then again, I am a one coat mascara girl, so if you layer your mascara you will probably like the first look. The bottom wand is so perfect for lower lashes it is indescribable! As for the mascara formula itself, it isn’t that great, but I can always dip this wand into another mascara!
