I haven’t done a Beauty Edit for quite a while, my last one was actually more than a month ago! So, today I would like to share my Rose Beauty Edit with you. These products are all rose toned, rose named or rose scented.
Let’s start with skincare and body care:
The Sephora Rose Sleeping Mask is meant to be ultra hydrating and brightening. I really liked how plump and hydrated my skin felt the next morning, not sure about the brightening claim though. This absorbs quite quickly, so you don’t need to worry about messing up your pillow. There is enough in this little capsule for two people, so share!
Next up I have the Sampar Skin Quenching Mist. This has such a pretty rose scent. I love using this after cleansing as an extra dose of hydration before moisturising, and over my makeup for a fresh dewy look.
I also have the Fresh Rose Face Mask, with real rose petals! This smells like strawberry jam to me. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soothed, but I do think there are better masks out there.
The L’Occitane Bonne Mere Soap in Rose is the most gorgeous smelling soap in the world! It smells like a garden of wild roses, and this is one product I would splurge on again.
The Cafe de Bain Softening Shower Cream in Raspberry & Rose Creme Tarte is another amazingly scented product. It smells like the inside of a Jolly Jammer and the red syrup from the ice cream truck had a baby. For the price, I will gladly by this over and over again.
The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion has quite a strong scent. It smells like exotic middle eastern roses, can you smell that? For some reason this lotion smells quite a bit stronger than the perfume. It isn’t very moisturising, but is great for summer when you don’t want a heavy cream or body butter.
Now onto makeup (with swatches below Top-Bottom)
This is the second Max Factor Creme Puff Blush I have tried. The first was in my Autumn Beauty Edit. This one in Alluring Rose is just gorgeous. it looks more bronze in the swatch than it actually is. I love the formula, it is so soft and buttery and blends like a dream. No wonder they say these are dupes for Hourglass.
Next up I have the Catrice Blush Palette in Rock’n’Rose. The highlighter looks a bit powdery in the swatch, but it is actually quite a nice highlighter, although better suited to fairer skin tones. I love both blush shades though.
I also have the NYX Illuminator in Enigmatic. Once again it looks quite powdery and ashy in the picture, which is definitely not the case. This is stunning whether you want an under-stated or glowing highlight since it blends like a dream. Enigmatic has a pink tone, but there is also an Illuminator in Narcissistic which has a warmer golden peach tone.
Now for lips (L-R)
The Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick is one of my favourite formulas. Today I have one in Ballet Slipper, which is a light rosey pink shade. It applies like a runny mousse, but dries to a comfortable fully matte finish.
And lastly I have the Catrice Lip Contour & Colour in Rosewood. This has a lip liner and a lip gloss in one easy product. The swatches below are of the liner and gloss separately, and then one of the liner underneath the gloss in the center. How pretty is the liner!
Above are the products just applied, and below are the products after about 10 minutes.
Thanks for reading ladies, hope you enjoyed my Rose Beauty Edit!
