October Beauty Favourites

I have been trying to do a little makeup cull recently, and only keep the makeup that I actually use and love! This means I have been going through each and every piece of makeup, and have found some neglected ones that I forgot I love! So today I am bringing you my October Beauty Favourites, some new, but most loved and forgotten.

October Beauty Favourites

Swatches form Top-Bottom:

The Face Shop Lovely Me:Ex Angel Skin Foundation NB35- I bought this on one of our overseas trips, and I forgot how light and smooth it is. It offers light to medium dewy coverage, but is easily buildable, and although the shade is about one shade to dark, I think it will be perfect for Summer. I had actually bought two of these, because I loved the finish, and couldn’t decide on a shade, but unfortunately the other shade I bought is too dark, so it is on my Blog Sale. The Face Shop is available at Oriental City in Joburg, but there isn’t a huge selection.

Catrice Contourious Sculpting Powder Palette in Almond Architect- Unfortunately this product was part of a limited edition collection, so it is no longer available. This is a perfectly well-rounded face palette and I have been using this and only this the last few days.

Tom Ford Lip Color in Indian Rose- I have already said how much I love this in my Tom Ford Makeup Review, so naturally it is in my favourites. Pigmented, wearable and comfortable, what more could a girl want?

The Face Shop Angel Skin Foundation

How versatile is the palette! Bronzer, Blush and Highlight in one!

*L’Oreal Brow Artist Sculpt in Dark Brunette- This weird looking eyebrow product has a little applicator to fill brows, and then a spoolie to brush through, which also fills brows and adds some dimension. At first this was a bit tricky to use, and I had to be careful not to paint a line across my face when using the spoolie. The applicator can also deposit quite a lot of pigment, so light feathery strokes are best. I love how easy this is to use and the way it fills my brows while still looking natural!

L'Oreal Brow Artist Sculpt

Urban Studio Angled Contour Brush- You may have seen my review of the gorgeous new Urban Studio and CALA brushes from Dischem, in which I mention this Angled Contour Brush, and how it works so well as a flat top foundation brush. Well, being a flat top foundation brush is exactly what got it into my October Beauty Favourites. It is soft and doesn’t poke at the skin, it doesn’t streak and it leaves skin with a buffed airbrushed but still natural looking finish. And I think it was R90! The only thing I can fault is the name- Angled Contour WHAT!
