New in Skincare- South African Skincare Brands + Giveaway

I feel like every post of mine recently has a giveaway, haha! I have another one coming up soon too, and you can check out the two that are already live here, the one is an Instagram Giveaway with a few other lovely ladies, and the other one is through Rafflecopter. Moving on to today’s post where I will be talking about a few South African Skincare Brands that I am trying out. Usually when we think of South African Skincare Brands we think of the natural, organic brands, but, we have a huge range of underrated Active Skincare Brands that deserve more exposure.

South African Skincare Brands Giveaway

I had previously tried out a few products from SkinPhD, and I was quite impressed. So, when the *Mild Foaming Cleanser and *Skin Protect SPF 30 arrived, I was quite excited! I like how mild the cleanser is, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight, but does an excellent job at cleansing! I just remove my makeup with micellar water, and then go in with this, and it works so well. Sometimes I even just double cleanse with this, and it gets the job done! I like that the packaging is shower proof too. The only issue I have is the pump, it is quite tight and hard to push down with one finger. I don’t know if it is just mine, or a general packaging issue with this product. The SPF is wonderful, I love the scent, I love that although it is quite thick and rich it doesn’t leave a white cast, or pill. I like to use this over a serum without a moisturiser, as it does a good job moisturising too.

When I first heard about the new Skin Serums from Boost! I was intrigued! I was sent *Glow an anti-oxidant serum for brightening and *Smooth an AHA exfoliating serum for texture. I love Glow, although I find the packaging is not ideal for the thick, gloopy product. But, it has helped with brightening and uneven skin tone. Smooth is a clear liquid that works perfectly with the dropper packaging. My skin looks more refined and my dry patches have been reduced after using this.

I am a huge retinol fan, so when the *MicroRetinol 5 Rich Repair from dr. dermal  arrived I started using it immediately. This is a very active cosmeceutical range, and I cannot wait to get my hands on more products, especially the Texture Correction Pads. If you want results with texture, ageing, etc, this is going to be the range for you. After using this consistently for more than two months, my skin looks smoother, the appearance of my pores have reduced and my skin is less clogged. I do have a discount code for the dr. dermal website which I am waiting for, and I will update this post once I have it. Lastly, the Exfoliating Masque from Dr. GOBAC has been a favourite of mine for ages. It is great for gently but effectively exfoliating, and leaving skin looking refreshed and revived. Using a combination of papain enzymes, Vitamin E Acetate and Retinyl Palmitate, this creamy masque will do the hard work while you put your feet up.
