December Beauty Favourites + Empties

As you can see I am trying to start this year off right, by being on time with my December Beauty Favourites! My favourites this month include a few makeup and skincare goodies, both new and rediscovered! I also have quite a few empties, which makes me proud!

December Beauty Favourites + Empties

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Body Butter- I LOVE this scent so much, I have even bought another Scented Candle and Body Butter in this scent as a backup! It is a warm and cozy scent, and because it is best-suited for dry skin it does a great job moisturising the skin! I have already posted a full review of The Body Shop Christmas Collection if you want to check that out.

I only started using this Bioderma Hydrabio Masque about two months ago, but I love how soothing and hydrating it is. Although it isn’t an overnight mask, I have been enjoying using it before bed, and when I wake up in the morning my skin is plump and supple and my dehydration lines are greatly reduced. It isn’t greasy, has a light cream-like consistency and absorbs pretty quickly, so it won’t mess your pillows either.

When I first tried the REN Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial I wasn’t blown away. I expected more of a visible result, similiar to the effect of the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. So, I didn’t end up using it much at all, but I recently tried it again, and when I woke up in the morning my skin looked so bright and refined! I will definitely use this more often now!

December Beauty Favourites + Empties

I have been after the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso forever, and after trying it, I know why everyone is nuts about it! I have swatches over here, but basically it is smooth and blendable and will suit so many different skin tones!

the Balm Batter Up Eyeshadow Stick in Dugout doesn’t crease, has great pigmentation and includes a primer so it lasts all night! It is also such a lovely shade, you can check out a swatch in my Festive Makeup Edit.

When I first tried the Sorbet BB Cream I loved it, then for a while I didn’t, and now I love it again! It is hydrating and offers light to medium coverage, but it is buildable. Although it is quite thick, it blends out well and feels weightless on the skin!

And now for all of the products I finished!

Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Wash and Rinse- I love the scent of this, and it was nice and hydrating, but it didn’t blow me away.

*Vichy Dercos- I absolutely adore everything about this shampoo! From the scent to the soothing effect on my scalp. Definitely something I will repurchase.

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Butter- I liked the scent of this body butter, but I much prefer the Intense Hydration version. But Body Butter from The Body Shop is always something I repurchase.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream- This product is a saviour! I used it on my lips and cuticles, and I will definitely repurchase at some point. Right now though I have decanted my Aquaphor out into this tub, because I really struggle to squeeze that tube.

Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Lotion- This is such a warm and cozy sent, and I love it! When I come across Bath and Body Works again I will repurchase this!

*dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash- I like that this is hydrating, but I am not sure that I would purchase it.

*dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream- This cream is lovely, it is so light but hydrating, and when I need a spoil it is something I may consider.

*Earthsap Body Wash– I love the refreshing scent of this, and it is proudly South African! Once I finish the gazillion other body washes I have, I will look into this.

essence Hand Cream- Hydrating with a pleasant scent, affordable, and the perfect handbag size!

*Dove Dermaspa Body Lotion- I really like this, it is hydrating without being greasy, and leaves my skin silky soft. It has a bit of a weird scent though, similiar to Blistex DCT.

Vanilla chai body butter smells so nice, although i think it’s more of a warm cozy sweet effective moisturizer for winter.
I was quite pleased with their January sale and also picked up the hair and body wild Argan oil..its super moisturing on skin and so much easier to apply than the body butters. It is obviously not pure Argan oil but effective. The scent may not be to everyone’s liking..
Did u notice hair growth with Dercos?

    1. admin

Yip it is a perfect winter scent! Oh yes the oil is moisturising, I wasn’t too much of a fan of the scent.

Nope, I didn’t but this one was for sensitive scalp, not growth. Did you?
