Catrice soleil d’ete Limited Edition Review

I was browsing around Dischem a while ago, as I do, looking to see what is new and interesting and I definitely do not need, when I came across the beautiful new Catrice soleil d’ete Limited Edition. Catrice always hits it out of the park with their Limited Editions, and this one is no exception. I love how they manage to combine elegance and class with affordability, and let’s not forget the prettiest packaging!

The Catrice soleil d’ete collection is inspired by the flowing, metallic fabrics and bronze make-up trends seen on the runway. Where sophisticated graphic cuts meets expressive metallic make-up looks, while still being delicate and feminine.

Catrice soleil d'ete Limited Edition Review

I bought four products, two face and two eye, unfortunately the Serum Bronzer was sold out, bleh! The products are swatched below, from Top-Bottom:

My favourite pick is the Duo Highlighter in Gentle Sun Glow. As you can see the highlighter has two different shades, one rose (top) and one bronze (bottom).  The powder is so soft and buttery, with an almost cream to powder finish. Surprisingly the rose shade is warmer than the bronze, but I like to swirl my brush through both shades when applying.

Next up I have the Sun Stripping Bronzer in Each and Every Sun. The bronzer is very soft and finely milled with a matte finish. It is warm toned, so I don’t see it working well as a contour, but to warm the face for a sun kissed look it is perfect! I like to use it as a blush and along my nose for a “just got home from a beach holiday” look! A very light hand is needed when applying this bronzer!

The last of my picks are the Metal Eyelights in Metal TANtation and Sun Kissed Miss. I am loving these, a hybrid gel-cream eyeshadow with a highly-pigmented metallic finish. They are easy to apply and blend, but be quick, because once they set, they don’t budge. These are perfect for the festive season, and can be built up to be as intense as you like!
