Hi ladies, today I would like to share A Glam Makeup Edit with all of you. I love glowing radiant skin, and bright lips, and to me, that flawless skin look is the ultimate glam!
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer in Dark Peach Bisque- I love this product so much! It works so well under my eyes without creasing or making the area look dry! It also isn’t too orange, but still has a peach tint, so it works as a corrector and concealer in one.
NYX Professional Makeup Total Control Drop Foundation- I had high hopes for this foundation as it was so hyped up, but unfortunately it left me wanting more. It didn’t work on my dehydrated skin, and left it looking older and more dehydrated than it actually is, thanks to the extremely thin consistency that settled into any place it could. I should mention that I don’t use a primer very often, and every time I tried this, I didn’t use a primer. I did find however, that if I mix it with some highlighting drops, such as this one from The Body Shop, or the ones below from Algenist, the foundation becomes dewy and much more wearable! I will definitely try and use this again using a primer and see if I can make it work.
Algenist Reveal Concentrated Luminizing Drops in Champagne and Rose- These are amazing at adding a glow by either mixing with foundation, or applying on top of foundation. I absolutely love the shade Champagne. These drops apparently have some skincare ingredients too, but I don’t see how it would be beneficial, as it is applied over so many layers of other products.
MAC Mineralize Blush in New Romance- This blush is really pretty, although as a blush, it doesn’t show up too well on my skin tone. I do find that using it as a highlighting blush topper, it gives my face a very pretty glow!
Bourjois Eyeliner in Smoked Brown- I quite like brown eyeliner, as it is less dramatic, and more natural looking. Also, in the extreme hit, melting black eyeliner is not cool! That being said, this one from Bourjois is not very pigmented, and is pretty disappointing.
AVON Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner in True Red- This liner is absolutely stunning, I love it, I even featured it in my November Beauty Favourites. It is so pigmented, non-drying, and applies so smoothly!
Estee Lauder Lip Potion in Cold Fire- This liquid lipstick is a gorgeous vibrant orange that is long lasting and comfortable on the lips. I love anything bright and orange, it just brightens my day!
Sorme Tasty Tubes Lip Gloss- A glossy lip can sometimes be more flattering than a matte lip, and this clear gloss is a perfect way to add some juiciness to the lips!
Thanks for reading Ladies, what is your go-to glam makeup look?
P.S. Don’t forget you only have a few days left to enter the NARS Giveaway!
The highlighter drops look amazing!
They are great, they add such a wonderful glow to the skin!
I love the look of the luminizing drops
They are really pretty Shelley!
The nyx foundation is on my must try list! I’ve seen so many people rave about so I’m dying to try it x
Unfortunately it was quite disappointing for me. But will continue to play around with it and see.
I’m dying to try out a bobbi brown concealer, or anything from them actually! I’ve heard such good things x
Yes, they make some great products! I think their corrector and concealer are must haves!
I have to say I agree with you on the Bourjois eyeliner, they really do not hang around and take a lot of effort to get any colour pay off. x
Yep, so disappointing isn’t it!
The highlighter drops are absolutely stunning! I adore the champagne one xx
They are beautiful, and perfect for giving that glow to the skin!
I have those Algenist drops and I love the colour too. I like them under my foundation for an all over glow but I doubt even then I’ll be making the most of those skincare benefits either xxx
Yip they are lovely aren’t they! Haha, I am glad I am not the only one!
I want to try that Bobbi Brown concealer x

The drops are beautiful, it really adds that touch of glam!
I totally forgot about my Avon True Red Lip Liner – I need to rotate my makeup more 😉
Yes you do Reonette! And try it under a nude liquid lipstick, you will be amazed!
Eeek, all of this sounds so lush! If I want to feel glam I always get my Elizabeth Arden lipstick out!
Oooohh what shade is it?
This reminds me, I am long overdue a visit to my local NYX counter! x
NYX is my fave, yes, and lemme know what you pick!
I love this post! I tend to add a smokey eye and a touch of sparkle when I want to glam it up a bit. I find it hard as I generally wear a full face of makeup daily so I don’t look much different unless I put a lot more on! x
Haha, I get exactly what you mean.
Such pretty picks and perfect for a bit of glam. The Mac mineralize blushes are my fave, the formula is so fab xx
Yip the formula is beautiful, I definitely want to try a few more shades!
I’m loving those Algenist Glow Drops – so pretty! x
They are really pretty, and are great mixed into foundation!
I’m so pleased you managed to find a way to make the NYX foundation work. I love the look of those highlighting drops xx

I really wanted to give it a good shot, but I think I should try this with a primer and see too!
I’d love to try these out myself.
Your swatches and photos alike are fab

Thanks Mel! Yes, there are definitely a few you should give a try!
I really want to try the NYX foundation, I’m just so worried that the product is so tiny.
Candice | Beauty Candy Loves
It is tiny, but because it is so runny, and you only use 1-2 drops, it should last forever!
I need to use New Romance more – it’s a stunning blush! The Algenist drops sound fab! xx
Beautylymin
It is so pretty! And the Algenist drops are beautiful!
I’ve heard mixed reviews about the foundation! Doesn’t sound great at all, might give it a go on my skin and see whether it works for me! x
Yip, unfortunately it didn’t work too well on me, but I also don’t use a primer, so that may be why.
Loved this edit! Some of the things you mentioned are now on my wishlist – the luminising drops for sure! xx
Thanks Siobhan. Yes, those drops are amazing!
