I planned on posting about these Rose Beauties from The Body Shop ages ago, and somehow this post managed to get lost in my drafts. Well, it has now been found, so let’s have a Rosy Battle, shall we? Also, it is my birthday today, yay!
Wild Rose- The Fresh, Nourishing One
The Wild Rose Range is full of moisture, and although it does have a beautiful scent, its main purpose is to nourish. And nourish it does! Wild Rose is a perfect description of this scent, it smells exactly like those big wild rose bushes with the big wide petaled flowers. I remember my gran had a few and they smelt exactly like this! I love both the Nourishing Hand Butter and the Hand Cream, especially when my hands are dry and sensitive.
Atlas Mountain Rose- The Elegant, Oriental One
The Atlas Mountain Rose scent is spicy and floral, and is quite intense, especially in the Body Lotion. The Eau de Toilette has a less spicy oriental scent, and more of an elegant floral one, more in line with roses, which I love! And not that old musty rose scent, a sophisticated rose. I also find that a fragrance can get away with a stronger scent, as opposed to a body lotion. Unfortunately the scent of the Body Lotion is just too strong, and it isn’t moisturising enough, definitely a disappointment.
British Rose- The Glowy, Dewy One
The British Rose Range has the prettiest scent, just delicate and dewy, as it should be, since it contains the essence of hand-picked roses. Sounds so fancy doesn’t it! The Body Butter is quite hydrating and the Body Essence is light yet moisturising, both give skin a glow thanks to light reflecting pigments, but don’t worry there is no actual shimmer. The perfume smells like a bouquet of fresh roses, and I love it!
Do you have a Rose Favourite from The Body Shop? Each of the ranges has something that appeals to me, the Wild Rose Nourishing Hand Butter, the Atlas Mountain Rose EDT and the British Rose Body Butter and EDT are great picks!
