I absolutely love bringing attention to local beauty brands and products, as we have such a wide range of high quality products that deserve so much more praise. So, today I am featuring a few products from South African Skincare Brands that I have been trying out recently.
The *Beaucience Masque is a great all in one mask that hydrates, but also deep cleanses thanks to the inclusion of Kaolin. My skin looks and feels refreshed and cleansed after use, without being tight or stripped. It reminds me of the dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Mask.
The Nirvana Natural Bliss *Brightening Facial Moisturiser has such a wonderful texture and is enriched with amino acids and peptides for bright, glowing skin. It is a light and fluffy moisturiser, with an almost whipped texture. It works well over serums and under sunscreen, and doesn’t interfere with makeup. It is also meant to assist with pigmentation and uneven skin tone over time.
I adore the Theravine *Mango Face Balms. The Clarifying option is hydrating and nourishing, but reduces clogged pores, leaving skin looking clearer. I like how different this is to other products catering towards blemish prone skin, which are so drying and harmful to the barrier of the skin.
Geared toward teenage skin, the *Deep Cleansing Face Wash from SIX Skincare is such a gentle, but effective cleanser for blemish and acne prone skin. It contains tea tree oil, salicylic acid, licorice and rose hip oil. I love that although this does a great job at purifying and deep cleansing, it doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight or dry. It also removes makeup pretty well!
I think I have mentioned the benefits of Vitamin C in Skincare more than enough times, so it is no surprise that I am loving the *Vitamin C Moisturising Cream also from SIX Skincare. It is a light daily moisturiser, that over time can brighten the skin and reduce pigmentation. Did you know Vitamin C also increases the protection of sunscreen? Vitamin C, alongside AHA’s and Retinol is one of my must-have ingredients!
I am really enjoying the BaoCare *Radiance Oil, not only is it affordable, it is also nourishing and hydrating. It leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished, and as if I have had a good nights sleep. Although this is targeted at age 40+, at 31 my skin drinks it up. It is not greasy, and gives me supple plump skin by morning.
Lastly I have a few products from one of the first local skincare brands I tried years ago, SKNLogic. The Enzyme Exfoliant had me blown away! I have been enjoying the *Gentle Cleanse Cream for my morning cleanse, it is nourishing and gentle, but removes any actives from the night before. The *Hydrating Serum is so lightweight, but hydrating, and does a great job at plumping up my skin and reducing the appearance of dehydration lines. My favourite product of the bunch is the *Multi Active Lotion, an overnight treatment enriched with fruit enzymes. I have used cult favourite overnight acid masks and treatments before, and this gives me close to the same effect! I wake up with my skin looking refined, brighter and smoother.

I’ve never heard of any of these brands! I’ll definitely have to do some research into them xx
I picked up the BaoCare last time that I was in Wellness Warehouse and I can’t overstate how much I am enjoying it. It has a lovely light smell and texture so my skin really absorbs it well. I am a huge fan of facial oils and this is one of the nicest I’ve tried. Great price point as well.
I haven’t tried any SA brands before if I’m being honest, but I would certainly be open to it 🙂
Ahh I’ve never heard of these brands, but they sound wonderful – especially the radiance oil!
