New Avene Launches

I received a few new Avene launches a while back, and I never did post about them. Actually, I haven’t posted about anything for a while, but I am hoping to change that. My last blog post was in February, SHOCK HORROR! I don’t even know why I have been away for so long, but I guess there are a couple of reasons: Work became a bit intense and chaotic in March due to our Covid response in South Africa and trying to mobilise resources as best as we could, we then went into a nationwide lockdown toward the end of March, we started the fasting month of Ramadaan in April, my gran passed away in May, and I can’t actually believe it is already August. It has been a roller-coaster, with more downs than ups, but I am grateful for my life and everything around me.

Avene is one of my favourite skincare brands as it is effective, suitable for sensitive skin and relatively affordable. My first purchases from Avene were the Soothing Moisture Mask, a cult favourite for a reason and the Cicalfate Cream which I bought to soothe my face after my Dermapen and Peel Treatments. So, when these new *products landed at my door, I was excited.

The Soothing Radiance Mask is just glorious as an overnight mask. This has replaced my beloved Soothing Moisture Mask, but does just a good a job. It is great for tired, stressed and dehydrated skin, and because it doesn’t need to be rinsed off, it makes life so much easier. It contains Pre-tocopheryl an anti-oxidant to protect the skin from free radicals, as well as the Thermal Spring Water to soothe the skin.

The Revitalizing Nourishing Cream is soft and silky and perfect for dry skin. It is rich and comforting and is a treat during Winter. It also includes the anti-oxidant Pre-tocopheryl and Thermal Spring Water to protect and soothe the skin. If you have oily skin I wouldn’t recommend this, as it may be too much for your skin. But, check out the BRAND NEW Hydrance Aqua-Gel as an option.

I am already a huge fan of the Cicalfate Range especially after face treatments and to soothe any skin irritations. The Repair Cream and Repair Balm restore the skins barrier while soothing irritated skin. The Balm is perfect for lips and cuticles, and the cream works well for larger areas. The Cream can also be used on minor scrapes and after stitches, it even helps reduce scarring. Just this week the BRAND NEW Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream was launched, a new and improved version to better and faster soothe the skin. The Drying Repair Lotion isn’t a product I have used much, as it is recommended for wet and oozing irritations to dry, repair and purify the skin.

I just love Avene products so much! I have the repair balm and it reminds me of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream but less thick if that makes sense? So it’s a nice alternative to those people who find that one too thick xx
