I love affordable, good quality makeup, so when the NEW Limited Edition L.O.V Cosmetics Collection landed at my doorstep, I couldn’t have been happier. In case you haven’t heard about L.O.V Cosmetics yet, it is the elegant, slightly pricier big sister to essence and Catrice. I did an introductory post on L.O.V Cosmetics and a review on some of the products, which you can check out here. The Heartful Healthy Glow Blush in Seductive Flamingo and the EVENelixir Serum Foundation are amazing!

Okay, lets get back on track!

There are five products in this Limited Edition Collection, and I received two, the Velvet Gold Powder and the Matt Appeal Satin Nail Lacquer. There is also an eyeshadow palette (R299.95), Satin Kiss Lipsticks available in three shades (R189.95) and the Exceptional Lip Tint (R149.95).

The product I most wanted to try was the *Velvet Gold Powder in Irresistible Moment (R189.95), and if this didn’t get sent to me I would have definitely gone out and bought it. Not only is the design really pretty, but who doesn’t love a good affordable highlighter! In my opinion this is the star of the collection, and I am quite surprised at the price, as I expected it to be over R200. It is a stunning champagne gold buttery highlighter. It is so soft and melts into the skin, and is all ethereal glow, no shimmery glitter chunks around here.

The second product I received was the *Matt Appeal Satin Nail Lacquer in Dark Seduction (R114.95). There are four shades available, a red, dark pink, gold and the dark berry I received. Dark Seduction is the darkest and most wintery shade, a rich dark berry burgundy. Apparently, there is a rumour that it’s autumn, although the sun disagrees, but this is the perfect Autumn/Winter shade and will definitely be on my nails as the weather starts cooling down.
