Is your hair in need of TLC? Mine was too, so I have rounded up a few hair care products that have made a visible difference to the condition of my hair.
For the Scalp:
I have a sensitive, itchy, irritable scalp. So I am always on the lookout for products that will cleanse and condition, but also soothe my scalp. And if not soothe, at the very least not irritate it. I have been using this Philip Kingsley No Scent No Colour Shampoo and Conditioner and I am happy to say it does not irritate my scalp. It was a bit weird at first to use something that has absolutely no scent, but I got used to it after a while, although I really do miss nice smelling hair. I have just received a new sensitive scalp shampoo from Vichy which I am keen to try, that might do the job and smell amazing!
For the Hair:
I was sent a few samples to try from Australian brand *bhave, which is now available in SA. The Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and Super Nova leave-in treatment are meant to repair and treat dry, damaged hair. The shampoo was super thick, and I actually thought it was the conditioner when I first applied it. It cleanses and lathers well and doesn’t leave hair feeling stripped. The conditioner is also quite rich, but rinses well and doesn’t leave a residue behind. The star of the show is the Super Nova spray. It left my hair feeling so soft and smelling amazing! I love that it is a leave-in product. I definitely think this range improved the condition of my hair.
For Overall Wellbeing:
Lastly, these little miracle workers, Trichotin Hair Regenesis from Fusion Laboratories. A little pot of hair health in a bottle, not to mention skin too. My hair used to fall out so much, and this really has reduced it. I feel like my hair is thicker and healthier, and my skin is clearer too. But how do I know this actually worked? Well aside from the reduction in hair fall, I had this little bald spot on my right eyebrow, it has been there for years, and I usually just filled it with brow pencil. But, after 2 months of using this, the bald patch is no longer there! I don’t even fill it anymore, I just use a brow gel to keep it all in one place.
